NPR Reporter Says Christians Should 'Burn' by Terry Phillips, correspondent
Hateful voice mail message to conservative group leads to resignation.
A National Public Radio (NPR) reporter has resigned after a hateful voice mail message she left for a conservative group was made public.
Rachel Buchman worked for WHYY in Philadelphia, an NPR affiliate, when she called the offices of the Web site laptoplobbyist.com to express her outrage over an e-mail the group sent to her opposing special rights for homosexuals.
"You're evil, horrible people. You're awful people," she said, identifying herself only as "Rachel." "You represent horrible ideas. God hates you and He wants to kill your children. You should all burn."...

Sorry.
The public face and the private face of liberalism is morphing into one. I've listened to this hatred on the left for years and take great pleasure when I see them "outed" like this.
bump!
Thank you for putting this phenomenon into such perfect words. Liberalism, as it's defined in politics, has been an antagonist against Christian faith and morals from its very beginning. And they are indeed getting bolder lately with their overt hatred for Christians.
Every true Christian feels the squeeze the government has been putting on the free expression of our faith, and every true Christian knows very well how deeply the secular media detest us. If ever there was a time to pray to God to bring light to these people, and to grant strength and unity to Christians, it is now. The wolves are standing at the door wearing many disguises, Muslims, liberals, socialists, atheists, pacifists; all claiming to be men of peace.
Uhhh...too late.
She should resign. A journalist who says something like this should be stripped of her stripes. Not a credit to her profession.
To tell you the truth, there are so many threads on FR now it's almost impossible to catch all the posts of interest, so it's not all bad there are duplicate posts. If you do a search and find a thread posted on an article of particular interest, I'd get on the thread and bump it a few times just to make sure it gets back on the latest posts page. JMO.

The mods have their hands full just hauling out the trash these days. They won't likely notice a duplicate post unless it's pointed out to 'em. I didn't because it's a subject of extreme importance to me. I just wanted to make the poster aware of the search function if he/she wasn't aware of it. Seems like they are kinda new. There are some grumpy old bags on this forum that would have beaten him/her about the head and shoulders for a dup post so it may save some hard feelings in the future.

Can a job at CNN be far behind?
I'm a bit curious why people complain about duplicate threads to begin with. Unless you are logged on all day to FR a thread can get deep enough down in the list that people will never know it existed. I'd rather someone post a NEW thread and the complainers simply post the URL to the original or other threads.
Cut NPR funding NOW!
I agree. Dispite a dup thread, I'm glad it was posted again or else I'd might have missed it totally.
We are facing what we(Americans) fled from in the very beginning. Religious intolerance.
This is unbelievable.
