9Mine is for shipping them out of MY COUNTRY NOW! They should have only 3 choices for where to relocate:
1) Darfur, Sudan
2) Gaza
3) Ivory Coast, where nicely uniformed, standing-at-attention,saluting French troops are awaiting them!

Love the results of that poll!
Hope a momentum starts building - I've love to see 100's of thousands descend on the UN chanting "
UN out NOW!"
To: CHARLITE
Yes. If we leave we lose a veto on the Sec. Council and leave France, Russia, China, and UK to run the UN. We need to reform the UN and purge it from the likes of Kofi and his thief son Kojo. But leaving it wouldn't be a good idea, IMO.
To: CHARLITE
A resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
It's time to kick out the "World Mafia". Let them set up their corrupt country club support group for dictators and terrorists somewhere else.
To: CHARLITE
I would like to see the UN dissolved. Someone please tell me how a poll on WND is going to accomplish that. It's like going to Democratic Underground and running a poll "Should the UN be allowed to take over Manhattan Island?".
Outcome guaranteed.

The issue should not be whether the UN stays here. The issue should be whether the UN is abolished.

Geneva, Switzerland would be the ideal site to relocate the UN. Another possibility is Paris or Berlin.
To: CHARLITE
My question is WHY doesn't the US get 50 votes?????
One for each state in the US, then we should stay but not otherwise.
They will take our guns, and our money and our GOD, though the liberals are doing a good job of it w/out the UN

"UN out NOW"
I want them out too. However, they OWN the ground the UN is on. They own their individual properties of the delegates and certain other employees.
One of the basic tenets of the U.S. is that we respect property ownership. Going against that would make us look very bad. It would never happen if we just make a bunch of noise about throwing them out.
Also NY benefits from the cash spent in the city. However the city could sure use the money owed by the UN personnel on parking fines etc.
First step would be to put the squeeze on the UN through stricter rules and guidelines working with in the law as we can. Make NY and the US in general not as inviting.
We can scream all we want about getting them out, but reality is to first take steps to make it "less than comfortable" to be here. Anything else is just wasting time and energy.
First things first.

I wholeheartedly agree...
Either each State (all 50) should have a seat OR
The European Union should have ONE seat.
Watch them squirm over that one!!!
To: libertyman
Following recent trends in eminent domain, we should probably say that it may be their property BUT we are going to condemn it because it could yield a better return to the citizens of New York if we made it a taxpaying corporate center.
Pay them the going rate and bye bye UN.
No loss... Plus the way they flaunt their diplomatic immunity always irked me anyway...

Siberia perhaps.
Or Bangladesh on the flood plain?
If terrorists nuke NYC, it will likely take care of it.
Some say the new Australian parliment building was created really for the new world headquarters.
Then there's Jerusalem and Rome.
Sigh.
