On the 13th the Electoral College meets. I posted this as a good link to keep handy in case things get interesting. It answers most questions and provides useful information, such as the fact that there is no Federal requirement for the Electoral College to vote a certain way, though there may be individual state requirements. Seems like a good resource to have handy as we work our way through to January 20th. Much of the information appearing in the media is flawed. Best to go to the source.
Not to nit pick, but this really isn't a vanity per say. It's actually a valuable, interesting, and useful link.
A real vanity would be more like a diatribe, or sharing a thought or story that would be only interesting to you. There was a great anti-semitic one earlier today, but the mods zotted it.
Again, not to criticize, but I love a really good brainless vanity, and this just isn't one.

It doesn't actually meet as a body. The electors meet in their state capital, usually at the seat of the state legislature to formally case their votes. Because electors can vote for whom ever they choose or for no one at all, one of the candidates may be received votes slightly different from the one posted on Election Day. Still, there's no suspense that the Electoral College will formally elect President Bush and Vice President Cheney to a second term.
There is suspense. Often there is one or two electors who go off the reservation and vote for thier "Uncle Fred" or something of that sort. It will be interesting to see if that happens. Rumor has it a West Virginia Bush elector wants to vote for McCain, but we will see...
Yes, I was greatly disappointed to find that this thread contains actual information that is both interesting and usable. This RtWngr fellow is going to have to try much harder if he wishes for his posts to be considered vanity. Perhaps a nice ethnic or sexist slur, or some non-sensical Bush-is-a-tyrant rambling would help next time. If there is a next time...
