I hate to sound sexist, but we have ruined our young "ladies". The culture has ruined them. Boys have always been horn dogs, the good thing was that girls, being the fairer and better gender, would say NO, thus civilizing boys into real MEN.

No more, I'm afraid. Oh sure, its probably still a minority of girls, but I think that a critical mass may have been reached already.

Boys have always been horn dogs. . .

Speak for yourself, Buster. :)

I agree with you. Believe it or not, I believe teenage boys have actually become a bit better about the sexual pressure. The change has been that teenage girls are now more open about their sexuality and pursuing it more.

It used to be an unwritten rule that some teenage boys lied and said they weren't virgins and some teenage girls lied and said they were. Now, the girls take pride in having lost it, almost as much as the boys.

The girls would say "no," and the boys would generally respect the girls' wishes, in fear of their lives and in deference to the girls' fathers.

When dads leave their families, daughters are easy prey.

My daughter came home from school the other day and was upset about something that had happened in her first class of the day. To me, it was rather trivial, and she got over it though it did bug her all day long. What was most upsetting to me was what happened on her way home from school. She rides a bus, and the students have assigned seats. My daughter has complained on a number of occasions about the person who sits next to her, but she was really ticked about what happened on this particular day. The female with whom she shares a seat stood up and kissed another girl right there on the bus. She is obviously wanting attention, but blech! The response from the other occupants of the bus was rather vocal, but I'm not sure if the bus driver ever noticed a commotion. Blech blech blech. I think the girl in question is only a seventh grader, but I wonder where her parents have been during the last 12/13 years as well.
