FORT WORTH, Texas -- The 24-year-old Florida middle school teacher accused of having sex with one of her students appeared in court Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing. Debra LaFave is accused of having sex with the 14-year-old boy at least two times in Ocala, Fla.

The female prosecuter types are maintaining that a 25 year old woman "raping" a 14
year old boy is exactly the same as a 25 year old man raping a 14 year old girl.
I wish you hadn't posted that...because I think I've broken a couple of ribs
with involuntary laughter.
...don't think that I laugh at any sort of sexual transgression...
but I do get my chuckles over the vast vacuum between the ears of some lawyers.

I saw part of the interview Debbie Norville did with the teacher's hubby (or ex-hubby). Seems like a stand-up guy.

Some in the media are already making her out to be the victim "and next some of the demons she has been fighting". She will lose this case but the interesting part will be the sentencing phase.

Does anyone know Debbie Norville's politics? I could be wrong but she seems to be middle-of-the-road and a good host. Very unique for a non-Fox anchor. I don't see her enough to form an accurate account but have seen her a few times and she isn't one of these hosts who would blame the hubby first in an instance like this case.

What would any adult woman get out of having sex with a 14 year old? Sheesh, adult males are impatient enough as it is....but a kid that age would be like an ADD jackrabbit on speed. It would be over before you took your shoes off.
