Trooper Chases SUV Through 2 Counties

The Nebraska State Patrol chased an SUV through Saunders western Douglas counties Wednesday morning.
A trooper spotted the vehicle near Ceresco going the wrong way on Highway 77. When the trooper tried to pull the SUV over, the driver took off and a chase started which soon turned down Highway 92. Around 252nd Street and West Center Road, the pursuit got close to a house. The SUV struck a propane tank in the yard and kept going. The collision created a leak in the tank, but there was no damage to the house.
The chase ended near 240th and F streets. Speeds reached 100 mph.
Sean Larson, 28, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and several other charges.

Sounds like the driver took off and the SUV drove on by itself.

So, the SUV wouldn't stop, the driver took off... How do they decide which one to pursue? Obviously, the SUV is a bigger threat. They can get the driver any time. ;-)

The stunned driver was given a ride home by the HP.

Do we now need to institute death sentences for SUVs? I vote for a lethal injection of sugar in the gas tank or a quick frying of the wiring harness. This would be the most ethical and humane way of carrying out the sentence...

Sean Larson, 28, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and several other charges. What about the SUV? Why didn't they arrest it? Both the headline and the first sentence tell us that is was the SUV that was being chased, not Mr. Larson.
