The "5 fingered wave" has now gone international. For all of you Free Dominioners, and other principled conservatives, who stood in the cold for over three hours to welcome American President Bush to Canada, here is your reward.
Personally...I feel overpaid.
Whitewalled tires always reming me of 'pimp-mobiles'

NICE! Thanks for the tip. I've sometimes gotten FreeRepublic "stuck" in a small typeface before, and never knew how I did it or how to fix it. Apparently I had bumped the CTRL key while scrolling. And now I know how to fix it. Thanks much.
Your very welcome. Pass it on when you get the chance!
Nov. 30, 2004: Pro- (right) and anti-Bush demonstrators face off on Parliament Hill.
I tried it and it closed the thread...I had to come back.
What if you have no roller on a mouse? For that matter, I also have no mouse!
I want a copy of this so badly to post in my office. Its just the best.
Great job up there, guys. We feel honored to have your support.
***These people at Free Dominion deserve our support and thanks...these Canadiens did a great job and are very proud of OUR President...thanks Freepers from the north for standing up for America and her President!!****
But the MSM said he got a "cool" reception. Which is it?
When W held the press conference in CA today he said something similar to, "I really appreciate all the Canadians who waved with five fingers," or the like.
We weren't much more than a lane-width away from him. We didn't know if he would even notice us, and we certainly didn't expect to see him through the tinted windows.
But there he was, right in front of us. He didn't give us one of those jive-assed politician smiles, he gave us a real Texas grin and a thumbs up.
Connie was tough, not one tear dropped from here eye. Not one, she was tough! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.) Canadian news media, shortly later, broadcast the President's live comments, and he mentioned that we had given him a "5 fingered wave", as opposed to the obvious single digit waves directed to him from Canada's mindless socialists. Free Dominioners stood 15' from the President, those with single digit hands never even got to see the neighbourhoods he drove through.
You know what's so funny about that? When the counting is finally completed, the actual Kerry count is likely to be very close to that 59 million number. Hehehehe....
That is so great, E.S.
I don't know how Connie (excuse my familiarity but I feel like I know her!) managed to hold back tears. When I tuned in to the news and saw Airforce 1 landing, I said to my teens, "Good thing I wasn't there and saw that. I would be bawling my eyes out and they would have just told me to please go home!"
I am so glad you guys got the good treatment. Note to lefties...it pays to bathe. And, oh yeah, get a haircut.
Funny you should inquire about that annnoying little apostrophe.
I tutor in math and English, Grades 1 through 6, and I am amazed at how they throw apostrophes about! They go everywhere...when in doubt, just add the apostrophe.
Hmph! Nothing! O well...
