Bahraini Royal Ends Made-For-TV Marriage

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The five-year marriage is over between a former Marine and a young Bahraini royal whose story provided the basis for a made-for-television movie, "The Princess and the Marine."

"It was what she wanted," Jason Johnson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal of the divorce he and Meriam Al-Khalifa filed for Nov. 17, the day after their fifth wedding anniversary. It calls them "incompatible in marriage."

She got out of an Islamic country. Looks like she got a good deal.

He can't complain. Well, he can, but it won't matter. He needs to go looking for ex #2.

She may as well. She's probably got the house and most of his stuff.

He should try to re-enlist (if they will have him back) and save his money and not think about.... stuff.

He'll find some other woman to take his next million. Lord knows I always have.

Not that I'll have a million again anytime soon... I've re-enlisted. Single, you know. Not thinking about... stuff.

Too late. He was court-martialed and the woman he left the Marines for has now betrayed him.

Then he'll have to find some other thing to do.

He's made his bed. It doesn't help to whine.

He should save his money while he's single, so he can give it to the next ex. Regardless of his profession.
