This one is self-explanatory.
Yahoo News caption: A U.S. flag burns on the ground during a candlelight vigil against the war in Iraq on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, November 30, 2004. The vigil was part of a day of protests against the visit of U.S. President George W. Bush. (REUTERS/Christinne Muschi)

In the meantime, President Bush seems to be having a good time.

Not that we don't have more than our fair share of left-wing idiots but, apparently attendance was augmented at this overall poorly attended "event" by a few extra busloads of reds from across the border and .. no .. we don't want to keep them.

Burn a Canadian flag? I don't know which side to get behind on the economics of that item. Does it cost more to burn than their flag is worth, if it is worth doing at all. Factor in the cost of matches, and there you go. A totally owrthless act.

Ya know, we could burn Canadian flags but what would be the point?Ya got me. Canada is about as relevant in world affairs as, oh, Luxembourg or Monaco.

...a few extra busloads of reds from across the border...Might those have been the ones who've wanted to escape the American gulag ever since Kerry was defeated? Please give those wretched souls political asylum. Pretty please...

It would only drag us down to the level of the left. It's a little like when they Boo our athletes or our national anthem, It doesn't happen when they sing Oh Canada at Michigan speedway. Of course the Canadians who come for the races are on our side anyway.

I KNOW the Founding Fathers were in favor of free beer.
Where's my copy of the constitution? It must be around here somewhere. Ah here it is.
Hmmmm...., no outright metion of free beer. Maybe if we gave it to some 'Rat Justices they could find it in there somewhere. Thor knows, they've found all sorts of other rights in there that I can't see. 'Rat Justices treat the Constitution like its Snoopy's doghouse so its GOT to be in there somewhere.
What? no majority of 'Rats on the SCOTUS? Maybe Hillery! will be able to fix this? Thor knows Kerry did a d' p' poor job.
Free Beer!, Free Software (too)!

Canada as relevant as Monaco or Luxembourg? I don't think so, they speak only French in those countries I believe. In Canada they cannot get along enough to figure out which language to speak or not speak. Here our politicians do it de facto because they know there would be a riot if they declared two languages.
Then again, it is the "French" and their language we are speaking about. Most confusing. Let us just ignore Canada.

Much better to burn the UN flag.

It is too bad that there are no counter-demonstrators, but then, it is a work day.
I do not believe in acknowledging the sicko protestors by turning around and burning a Canadian flag. We should respect their country, as probably most Canadians actually respect ours, and not let the worst people set the course of events.
After 9-11 my wife drove from Halifax to Maine, and almost every house along the way had a US plag displayed, to show solidarity. She was in tears by the time she reached the US, to think that people in small, rural homes in New Brunswick had managed to find American flags for the occasion.

"How come the Leftist who love the nanny state so much haven't forked up with free beer, yet?" Well, actually they did come up with it (or the equivalent); communist nomenklatura types used to have everything for free, or at nominal prices. The range of free goodies was determined by one's position in the hierarchy. So, comrade, only the more meritorious leftists get free beer. Verstehen?

Maybe if we gave it to some 'Rat Justices they could find it in there somewhere.I'm sure they could tweak that all-time favorite catch-all, the commerce clause, to make free beer constitutional.
