Tripoli, Libya, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Muslim clerics and scholars meeting in Libya from around the world Tuesday denounced attempts to link Islam to terrorism as an injustice to one billion Muslims.
A final communiqué, issued at the end of a two-day conference in Tripoli organized by the International Islamic Daawa (Call) organization, called on participants to combat all actions that tarnish Islam and undermine its aspects of love and tolerance.
The conferees, some 500 clerics and scholars from 120 countries, condemned all aspects of injustice, enmity and the use of force such as invasions, sieges and wars in violation of international norms and principles, stressing that "developments in Palestine and Iraq are examples of injustice targeting Muslims."
They stressed the need to unify the Islamic stance and course of action throughout the world and determined to realize the message of Islam, which calls for peace and dialogue between peoples and civilizations.
"We call for a continuation of dialogue in order to show the true face of Islam and confront attempts to tarnish it," the communiqué said.

but, if I may bring this discussion to a finer point (think about this...let it settle in...give it some time)...
Islam itself communicates to its adherents that criticism of Islam is blasphemy...accordingly, from its very core, Islam redirects responsibility outward (anywhere, but not here)...
This is the very foundation of projection...i.e. something around here is wrong...it can't be me, it must be you.
This is the basic principal of Islam...

I wouldn't expect a mullahs' convention in LIBYA to tolerate anyone suggesting a link between terrorism and Islam.
When I hear 2 billion Muslims speak out with one voice against terrorism. When I see peace loving Muslims turning in the terrorist or fighting them, maybe then I wont say Islam is a terrporist religion , until then, Perhaps all Islamics arent terrorists but all terrosists are Islamic.

We are a religion of peace, we are a society of peace, and anyone who says otherwise will have terrible screams pressed from his dying lungs as his blood spills on his unworthy feet! Amen.
And oddly enough, their communication was aimed at the non-Muslim world!?!
Why tell us?
Why don't they use this forum to teach their own people about the correct and peaceful, non-violent practise of their religion, instead of telling us our criticism of Muslims is unjust?

According to islam it is acceptable for muslims to lie about their intentions as long as it advances their cause. That is why I trust no muslim and why I consider every muslim to be our enemy.

If any one of us raised our kids like the Palestinians do we'd go to jail for child abuse. There's only one way to cure that kind of child abuse and the child doesn't live through the process.
