Does The "Search" Function Still Work? No One Seems To Use It.

It works but sometimes it seems to miss things such as plurals. Keywords can be tricky business.

Educate me please! I've been a member here for years, but was not active for many of them, so I guess I've forgotten some things I should know.
I just had a post (Fallujah Napalmed)pulled by the moderator because a similar story, from a different source had already been posted. I did the search, and found that thread, but the story I posted brought up other issues not included in the first post, so I thought it worthy of posting. Was I wrong?

Does The "Search" Function Still Work? No One Seems To Use It. Do the rules against useless vanities still exist? No one seems to obey them.
Nice use of bandwidth.
Hey mods...cleanup on aisle 1291457.

Brava! And when you point it out, people get so pissy about it. Conservatives police themselves, but you wouldn't know it from some of the complainers around here. And it's pointed out with a useless, two line vanity.
Of course one would have to be "prissy" to see anything silly in that...
At least when something gets posted multiple times, it's by mistake. Vanities are premeditated. Two line vanities should have been taglines.

I don't get why you're having trouble. I haven't had trouble finding anything in about, oh, two years.

I guess if I had put "abortion" in the keywords you'd be all over this thread like white on rice?

It's same as always. We drop a snide post on the threads, get some bronx cheer for our efforts, and move on. The mods crack down when big things are happening outside, elections and wars that would blow our bandwidth to Mars, but otherwise we just keep the noise level at a low roar so some posters get a clue they are doing a faux pas kind of thing.

I live to ruin people's fun, you know that. Especially people who fly MiGs. :-)
BTW, am I one of your co-conspirators?

I guess if I had put "abortion" in the keywords you'd be all over this thread like white on rice? Well, call me an old softy, but I think of 4,500 little kids per day getting their limbs ripped off as a serious matter.
But hey, that's just me.
And more like a pancake on a bunny's head than white on rice.

You're a nice man, but you're also a one note Johnny. Let us have a little fun here after the election.

LOL!!
Yes.
I have many co-conspirators.
Right now we're all mainly hiding out from vengeful coffee addicted deer.
Seems I spiked the local deer feed with my coffee, with disastrous results.

You're a nice man, but you're also a one note Johnny. I don't know if you're a nice lady. Seems like you're busy poking me with a stick. Don't seem nice to me, and I'm actually pretty thick-skinned. I'm not one of the "Serious Freepers," but I see no reason you'd want to poke them with a stick, either.
Let us have a little fun here after the election.
Here's some fun for ya:
"And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener! "--(Steve Martin), Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
But seriously, folks...
Fun procedure #1: Go to the Canteen.
Fun procedure #2: Go to the Useful Idiot Caption-A-Rama.
That's just for starters. Either one should be easy to find using the search function. And as an added bonus neither one is a pointless vanity planted smack-dab in News/Activism.

I am a nice Lady. Bawdy, but nice.
I did not post this in Breaking News. I can't help it if your flags are there. I purposely put it in miscellaneous.
