Declaration Of Independence & The Cupertino Union School District (VANTITY)
Fox, Hannity

Posted on 11/30/2004 11:12:51 AM PST by capebuffalo

Cupertino teacher, Steven Williams is suing the "excellent and diverse" (45 language) Cupertino Union School District for barring him from using excerpts from historical documents in his class room, because they contain a reference to God.

You're witnessing a rewriting of American History. School administrators, the NEA, and the ACLU have decided that any reference to religion must be purged from school materials - including historical documents.

The results of the recent election presents us with a window of opportunity to take on these gutless, revisionist, PC, and "elitist intellectuals" now.

The Board e-mail address is board@cupertino.k12.ca.us

The Supertindent of schools is William Bragg PhD at bragg_bill@cupertino.k12.ca.us

Let's raise hell with these people. They should all be called to account or resign, and the school principal of the Stevens Creek Elementry School should be fired.

WHAT SAY YOU?

I've already given them my 2 cent's worth. I saw Mr. Stevens and the attorney on Hannity & Colmes last night. Made my blood boil to hear what he had to say.

Hope someone notifies the American Center for Law and Justice (aclj.com) specifically Jay Sekulow. He and his staff battle on issues like this.

I wrote thanking them for helping to get Bush elected and for hastening the demise of the public school system. I asked about the teacher's acedemic freedom and the student's right to know their country's founding documents. In closing, I noted that their school district would likely need public support for a ballot measure or what not some time in the future and that I would not vote to support them because of what they are doing.

Maybe students can use the Freedom of Information Act to receive copies of the Declaration. (If I'm not mistaken, it is technically a government document.)

The same NEA has threatened a parent in FL who complained about her autistic child being physically abused by a teacher. The teacher is now charged with multiple counts of child abuse.
