U.S. GROUP TO FILE IRAQ WAR CRIMES CASE IN GERMANY (ANTI-AMERICAN ALERT!)
ABC News ^ | 11/29/04

Nov 29, 2004 — BERLIN (Reuters) - Lawyers acting for a U.S. advocacy group will Tuesday file war crimes charges in Germany against senior U.S. administration officials for their alleged role in torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

"German law in this area is leading the world," Peter Weiss, vice president of the New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), a human rights group, was quoted as saying in Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper's Tuesday edition.

According to the group, German law allows war criminals to be investigated wherever they may be living.

Those to be named in the case to be filed at Germany's Federal Prosecutors Office include Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, former Central Intelligence Agency chief George Tenet and eight other officials.

The group is due to present details of its case at several news conferences Tuesday, according to invitations faxed to media organizations.

That group is forgetting that a group of 9/11 families filed suit in NYC in federal court against Iraq for Iraq's direct involvement in 9/11 and WON the case.

So let's see: 3,000 dead, an economy shredded for a period of time, and a change in our way of life. Versus a few prisoners who had hoods put over their heads. Hmmmm. Let me think...which one is more worthy of a lawsuit.

Investigate away, America-haters!

Your suit will amount to nothing. Deal with it. Understand it.

Now go away!

Aww, how cute. A little global test!

Come and get us, Germany. That is, if the last two World Wars haven't taught you anything yet.

Count on MSM to pursue this story, while viewership continues to fall.

What do alleged crimes committed against non-citizens outside the United States have to do with "Constitutional Rights"?

alleged role in torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq

So, instead of the "Chinese water torture", we now have the "American pantie torture."

*sigh*

Sometimes I think I am going mad.... Where was this group when Americans literally had their heads "handed" to them by savages?

Abu Ghraib is just a blip compared to beheadings.

We are a democratic country. They can sue here in the US if they wish. If German law is worth its salt, they should send the case over here to the proper jurisdiction.

Note to Peter Weiss: please personally hand-deliver all legal process to me. I'll be sure that it gets to the intended recipients. However, I make no other promises beyond that...... 8~]

Given the owner of said panties, they just might have a case.... 8~D

Why are they filing them in Germany? They should be filing them in the Hague. They'd get no further, but that's the correct procedure for filing bogus war crimes claims.

Yawn.. Things must be crappy indeed at the MSM if this is news for them.

Jesus, I've followed about a dozen such case filed across the world. Same thing, different names.

Looney Canadian lawyers filing an "airtight" case against the US leaders at the Hague (this case actually named every citizen in the US) that were involved in the bombing of the Christians in Serbia. (no UN SC mandate)

Lawyers filing a war crimes indictment against Sharon in Belgium.

Yep, real important.

Aren't they talking about inditing Bush up in Canada for War Crimes?

Is this same group going to all this effort to file war crimes lawsuits against Al Zarqawi? Bin Laden? Al Sadr? The Taliban?

If they are in Germany they need to stay there. They'll be much happier.
