Jenna and Barbara Bush with their parents George W. Bush and Laura Bush. Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Welch Bush (born November 25, 1981, in Dallas, Texas) are the fraternal twin daughters of U.S. president George W. Bush and Laura Bush.
Jenna, the blonde, is named after her maternal grandmother and attended the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. Barbara, the brunette, is named after her paternal grandmother and attended her father's and grandfather's alma mater, Yale University. Jenna has said that she wants to become a teacher in Manhattan and Barbara is reported to have plans to work with AIDS sufferers in Africa.
Their Secret Service code names are Twinkle and Turquoise, respectively.
Drinking incidents
Both daughters had incidents involving underage drinking. On April 27, 2001 Jenna Bush was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol in the East Sixth Street entertainment district of Austin. On May 29, 2001 Jenna was charged with trying to use a third party's identification (fake ID) to purchase alcohol at a popular Mexican restaurant near the University of Texas campus. At the same incident, Barbara Bush was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol. They both pleaded no contest to all charges. Underage drinking (under 21 years) amongst American college students is illegal but so widespread that detractors of the Bush family rarely raise the issue; now that the twins are of legal drinking age, the issue is totally irrelevant. However, Jenna's use of a fake ID is another matter; Bush claims to be a supporter of aggressive homeland security policy, and fake IDs are one tool terrorists use to evade surveillance. By using one herself, Jenna Bush seriously undermined her father's stance on homeland security, in the opinion of many Bush critics.
On July 6, 2001, for the false identification charge, Jenna was ordered to pay $100, perform 36 hours of community service, and attend a session where victims of alcohol-related crimes speak. For the underage drinking charge, Jenna was fined $500 and her driver's license was suspended for 30 days.
On July 15, 2004, The Times reported that "White House aides breathed an almost audible sigh of relief when the girls turned 21 [in 2002] and could buy alcohol legally," thereby avoiding any further embarrassment to their father, a recovered alcoholic.
Graduation and campaigning
Both daughters graduated from college in May of 2004; the events were given heavy media coverage, as opposed to the "hands-off" approach that journalists had taken in the past. This more open relationship with the media grew during the summer of 2004, prior to the 2004 U.S. Presidential election. The twins, who are taking turns traveling to various swing states with their father, gave a seven-page interview and photo shoot in the July 2004 edition of Vogue magazine. In the interview Jenna describes the twins' decision to accompany their father on parts of the campaign trail as their own decision. "It's not like he [her father] called me up and asked me," she said. "But I love my Dad and I think I'd regret it if I didn't do this." The media also has been extensively covering the campaigning of John Kerry's daughters Vanessa and Alexandra, turning the election into, at least in part, a "battle of the daughters".
Barbara looks more like her cousin then her sister.
Now there is a classy lady!

They're both hot!
That is a damn sexy pic of Barbara, there.
Speaking of twins, Reuters is reporting that Julia Roberts gave birth today to a boy and girl and she has named them Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia.
This is a picture of Barbara with her date at The Capital Club's Summer Sinatra Soiree. (Actually a fan)

He is entitled to dream a bit, no???>
The remarks by Barbara and Jenna Bush, the daughters of President Bush, to the Republican National Convention.
J. BUSH: It's great to be here. We love Arnold. Isn't he awesome?
(APPLAUSE)
Thanks to him, if one of us ever decides to marry a Democrat, nobody can complain, except maybe our grandmother, Barbara. And if she doesn't like it, we would definitely hear about it.
(LAUGHTER)
We already know she doesn't like some of our clothes, our music, or most of the TV shows we watch.
Gammie (ph), we love you dearly, but you're just not very hip.
(LAUGHTER)
She thinks "Sex and the City" is something married people do, but never talk about.
(LAUGHTER)
We spent the last four years trying to stay out of the spotlight. Sometimes, we did a little better job than others.
(LAUGHTER)
J. BUSH: We kept trying to explain to my dad that when we are young and irresponsible, well, we're young and irresponsible.
(LAUGHTER)
B. BUSH: Jenna and I are really not very political, but we love our dad too much to stand back and watch from the sidelines.
(APPLAUSE)
We realized that this would be his last campaign, and we wanted to be a part of it.
Besides, since we've graduated from college, we're looking around for something to do for the next few years.
(LAUGHTER)
Kind of like dad.
(LAUGHTER)
(APPLAUSE)
J. BUSH: Our parents have always encouraged us to be independent and dream big. We've spent a lot of time at the White House, so when we showed up the first day, we thought we had it all figured out. But apparently my dad already has a chief of staff, named Andy.
(LAUGHTER)
B. BUSH: When your dad's a Republican and you go to Yale, you learn to stand up for yourself.
(LAUGHTER)
(APPLAUSE)
I knew I wasn't quite ready to be president, but number two sounded pretty good.
B. BUSH: Who is this man they call Dick Cheney?
(LAUGHTER)
(APPLAUSE)
J. BUSH: I think I know a lot about campaigns. After all, my grandfather and my dad have both run for president, so I put myself in charge of strategy. Then I got an angry call from some guy named Karl.
(LAUGHTER)
B. BUSH: We knew we had something to offer. I mean, we've traveled the world; we've studied abroad. But when we started coming home with foreign policy advise, dad made us call Condi.
(LAUGHTER)
J. BUSH: Not to be deterred, we thought surely there's a place for strong willed, opinionated women in communications. And next thing we know, Karen's back.
(APPLAUSE)
B. BUSH: So we decided the best thing we could do here tonight would be to introduce somebody we know and love.
J. BUSH: You know all those times when you're growing up and your parents embarrass you? Well, this is payback time on live TV.
(LAUGHTER)
B. BUSH: Take this. I know it's hard to believe, but our parents' favorite term of endearment for each other is actually "Bushy."
(LAUGHTER)
And we had a hamster, too. Let's just say ours didn't make it.
(APPLAUSE)
J. BUSH: But, contrary to what you might read in the papers, our parents are actually kind of cool. They do know the difference between mono and Bono. When we tell them we're going to see Outkast, they know it's a band and not a bunch of misfits. And if we really beg them, they'll even shake it like a Polaroid picture.
(LAUGHTER)
(APPLAUSE)
B. BUSH: So, OK, maybe they have learned a little pop culture from us, but we've learned a lot more from them about what matters in life, about unconditional love, about focus and discipline.
B. BUSH: They taught us the importance of a good sense of humor, of being open-minded and treating everyone with respect.
And we learned the true value of honesty and integrity.
(APPLAUSE)
J. BUSH: When you grow up as the daughters of George and Laura Bush, you develop a special appreciation for how blessed we are to live in this great country.
(APPLAUSE)
We are so proud to be here tonight to introduce someone who read us bedtime stories, picked up car pool, made us our favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cheered for us when we scored a goal, even when it was for the wrong team.
(LAUGHTER)
B. BUSH: Someone who told us we actually looked cute in braces, always welcomed our friends and was there waiting when we came home at curfew.
J. BUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, one of the two most loving, thoughtful people we know.
B. BUSH: Your president and our dad, George W. Bush.
Battle between the Bush twins and the Kerry daughters? Heh. no contest! The Kerry girls should have been told never to go unarmed to a battle of wits (or looks).
bump!
Thanks Rus.. I love the additional facts/pix from all corners..
