I've always kind of liked her, she has always struck me as a nice person, despite her idiot views. Good luck, Patti.

"...everything she said or did to hurt her father still pains her greatly"

Give me a break.

She and Ron Jr. are cashing in on the moment.
They make me ill.

Sure, she did her share of recreational drugs, but in the 1960s and 1970s, what young person didn't?

Dozens. Hundreds. Thousands, millions didn't.
Most of the people I had daily contact with didn't. I can't remember a single case of co-workers coming to work stoned.

This seemingly innocuous throwaway line just builds a foundation for the sophistry that follows.

I ain't buying it.

I didn't use drugs.
My sons and daughter don't use drugs.
Sensing a pattern here, perhaps?

Give me a break. When she changes her name to Patti Reagan I'll listen to her.

I'll never understand how a good, normal person like Ronald Regean could have such stupid, oddball kids.

Thank God they'll both be forgotten in a couple years.

Wonder if she feels guilty now for the enormous amount of crap she spewed against her father before he died

She is someone who is trying to cash in on her dad's name, because her dad was greatly, greatly loved, and she wants some of that to be bestowed upon her. It is sad, but this happens far too many times in this day and age, when people wait too late to get things right with their parents. These children say things and do things to hurt their parents, and then before you know it, they are gone. It is so ironic, that Michael Reagan, the adopted son, has turned out to be the most loyal child to his father, and also the most level-headed of them all. God bless President Reagan!

Patti and Ron Jr. are spoiled, obnoxious brats who could never have done a thing on their own. How can Ron Jr. be a commentator on anything. He dropped out of college and has done nothing. He is embarrassing.

I didn't, nor AFAIK did any of my close friends at the time. Just a bunch of geeks I guess. Not that I don't know of folks who did. Most of 'em dumber 'n a pile of rocks. Except for one guy who was a Presidential Scholar and valedictorian of my high school class. That was before he "did his share". Then he lost his scholarship. Never did know what became of him, he never showed at any class reunions.

I have read Patti's other books, and my sense is she was a spoiled rotten self centered brat, who grew into a spoiled rotten self centered young adult and woman. If you read her own words in her former books, you can see the selfishness and ridiculous whining all through them. She regrets it now? Good, she should.

`I guess I am not so sympathetic here. . .too late smart for Patti as far I am concerned; albeit better smart sometime, than never.

I am sorry, however, for the pain and suffering of this family. . .

Given Patti's regrets. . .perhaps in her 'next thirty years' or so. . .she may even get her politics 'Right'. . .
