Mexico has a message for Gov. Pataki: Start obeying your labor laws - or else. Because as odd as it may seem, a foreign nation has a say in how workers are treated in New York.
After a three year investigation, Mexican officials overseeing the North American Free Trade Agreement issued a report last week saying New York state and Pataki had deprived injured workers of compensation.
Failures in the workers-compensation system were "excessive and continuous," they said.

If he could figure out a way how, Pataki would cave.

If Mexico doesn't like the way they are treated, take a bus, plane, or walk back across the border.

NAFTA again. As usual a negative outcome from this globalization.

GTFO of America! Stinking illegals -- and Mexico, a corrupt, impoverished nation run by thugs, has the cajones to tell America HOW TO TREAT ITS CRIMINALS IN THIS COUNTRY. They should be in jail for breaking U.S. laws.

Thank George Bush, I'm afraid. This was happening long before Bush became President. But you're right, Bush ain't helping fix this insane mess.

He's actively hurting--spending his "capital" to drive a perplexing open-border policy. Are you aware of how much effort he has expended just to open our highways to Mexican eighteen-wheelers? Drive carefully...

They're not talking about illegal aliens. They're talking about U.S. citizens. Mexico's apparently invoking authority given to them by NAFTA.
Just a little sneak preview of the FTAA.

And Mexico does WHAT for US citizens worker injuries? They're in violation of any "trade" agreement merely by the huge numbers they've sent us compared to the numbers we've sent them....oh, forgive me, I'm thinking of FREE trade, not NGO and gov't controlled trade!

We should be able to pay Mexicans just $4.50 a day which is the mininum wage in that country. What business is it of that government anyhow?

Are you sure? Vicente Fox sure acts like he does --- and he seems to be getting whatever he demands. NAFTA did give many rights to the Mexican government over ours.

Not legitimately of course, but I think we'd all be surprised to see all of the hidden gems contained in NAFTA. And since the FTAA has been described even by its supporters as a deepening of NAFTA...

Mexico wants the cash remittances - other states must process comp claims quicker than NY - so the money never stops flowing in.
To: 4.1O dana super trac pak
The Mexican Government defecates regularly on its workers in Mexico. It has no standing in New York.
This whole charade is just a PR plant by the crooked workers comp lawyer industry anyway.
My own impression is that 90% of New York workers comp cases are total frauds.
