Strident, possibly deranged DNC operative Martin Sheen is allowing "his" show, the idealized Clintonesque "The West Wing" (idealized meaning conservatives are evil and ugly, liberals are smart and classy and witty and pretty and thin) to be...gasp...OUTSOURCED TO CANADA! (cue organ music). We know that the Cheney/Bush cabal is evil, because they drill for oil, support tax cuts, stangle kittens and OUTSOURCE jobs. Something is wrong here. Something dark...scary...The only logical explanation is...Karl Rove mind-control. Howard Dean knew that Rush Limbaugh "took the flag away". Libs must not allow this craven act of mind-control to go unchallenged. Roll out of the November 3rd fetal position, wipe the tears from your eyes, the snot from your nose, mouth and chin (ewwww), tell your shrink that your PEST therapy will have to wait and stand up to Karl Rove. If he can use his dark powers to control Martin Sheen, what next? What next indeed?

"Martin Sheen's US President 'Jed Bartlet' will lead the cast and crew of NBC's The West Wing TV series to Ontario, to film 2 episodes during a 12 day shoot.

The show will film in Dundas, Ontario Dec 4-16.

The series will also shoot scenes at the Hamilton airport.

The West Wing, produced by Warner Bros. Television and John Wells Productions (ER), have now opened Toronto production offices.

The location qualifies for tax credits and is within the vicinity of Kleinburg Studios and a US presidential 'Oval Office' set."

West Wing has always been for reality-challenged Democrats who couldn't handle the 2000 election.

I guess now it will be for reality-challenged Democrats who can't handle the fact that they LOST AGAIN -- and this time lost the popular vote as well.

Well, the Democrats have been sniveling about moving to Canada. This might be the first wave.

Hasn't this show been cancelled yet?

PS As a Conservative Canadian I'm opposed to business subsidies, including those going to film and tv.

Yeah that and did anyone notice that this past week we saw the Sheen character PRAYING in a military hospital... I guess they're going to try to convince us NOW that Democrat liberal politicians are all God fearing Christians.

Sheen is merely preparing for the day when the capital of the United States of Canada will be Ottawa.

Canada requires a certain amount of Canadians be employed when working on shows shot in Canada, that includes behind the scenes techs and actors.

So will Michael J Fox join the West Wing?

Probably not. He prefers to get his medical treatment in the good ol' USA.

There were going to be one to three episodes shot in Canada. This has been the debate on set in Burbank where a majority of filming is done, since September. But the real reason to film in Canada is that they needed to have scenes shot for New Haven ect. to be done in snow. They could have gone and done the work near Los Angeles up at Big Bear since they had to have real snow. But the producers wanted to go to Canada. Thanks for giving away work Martin Sheen, now you can get your cigarettes you smoke all the time for cheap while in Canada. That's the News, Spike

I know Sheen makes millions. He'll be paid for his work in Canada. I wonder how much the little (American) people who work hard on the production in America (who don't earn millions) will lose when their job is outsourced to Canada?

Movie Industry has been moving up North and to Europe for 5 years now. Film Development Companies have been merging and moving to Canada (Development Companies do the Developing of Film and Print Copies to Theaters around the World) at the same pace. Thanks to pantywaist Dem. Gov. Gray Davis, California was not only a big loser in the Energy debacle, but we lost hundreds of millions of dollars to Canada and Europe due to horribly anti business guidelines and not stepping in to halt major union strikes, not unlike the Grocery Store Union Fiasco. Surprises no one in the Industry what has been happening, and has been under reported Locally as well as Nationally.

Interesting how affluent Hollywood types who are so supportive of the DNC orthodoxy (of which outsourcing of American jobs was a platform used to attack President Bush) are not more sensitive to this issue. They make millions on their product, but decide to make even more by outsourcing American jobs to Canadians to increase their profit to the detriment of their faithful workers. It's ironic that, while most of the DNC accusations of outsourcing were spurious (the jobs lost do not fit in the new economy) this really is a small group of rich people screwing over the little people to add more zeroes to their already fat bank accounts. I'm looking for the word...hypocr...

See, you fail again to properly assess the liberal mind and belief system. When good and normal people do something for economic reasons the neocommunists radical progressive liberals call it "greed." When the lefties do it, they can rationalize it.

Here, the nuances are especially delicious. Sheen is f**king one or more really, really ultra left wing US unions here. Sheen is exporting jobs; sending work outside the country where it can be done more cheaply by lower paid foreigners, here, Canuckistanis, who are paid , not in greenbacks, but in loonies!

Didn't tha dumb, lazy guy who lost say that exporting American jobs was evil? Leftie values can be encapsulated in a phrase, do as I say, not as I do. Of cousrse, the lefties like Canuckistan better than the US because dope is cheaper and more available there than here.

If what you say is true, perish the thought, that would mean that Martin Sheen is either a hypocrite or an idiot. Is that possible?

Iwatched this stupid West Wing for about 20 minutes. It was incredibly lame and he was like a less horny, less smary and possibly more emotive version of Clinton.

The little White House worker bess/liberal back stabbers were nauseating.

"West Wing has always been for reality-challenged Democrats who couldn't handle the 2000 election."

Right notion. Wrong time-frame.

West Wing was hatched in the heat of the krinton-Lewinski scandal. The idea was to create an alternate universe for RAT 'values' in spite of the ejaculator-in-chief. The prominence of the crack-head Sorkin and the Leftist nutcase Sheen was NO coincidence. It's what the military calls 'damage control.'
