Excitement at NCSU
Vanity
Posted on 11/24/2004 7:08:57 PM PST by NCjim
I just returned from NCSU main campus a while ago - there were a number of fire trucks and emergency vehicles surrounding Daniels Hall. The streets were blocked off but the office could not reveal what was going on. NBC 17 had a van there but I see nothing on any of the local TV or news web sites. Anybody know what's going on over there?

It could have been a fire. You know, the kind where fire engines come and put them out.

Somebody threw a span and they threw it in the hole.

I figured that, but why would the officer just not say it?

LOL! I think it's correctly,
"The phone books are here! The phone books are here!"
...and that, students, is an allusion.

I figured that, but why would the officer just not say it?Think about who you're talking about. Was it one of those fine upstanding officials from Public Safety or somebody that works for the city? Somebody probably pulled the fire alarm or broke into the building. I remember living over in Sullivan dorm many years ago we had 92 fire alarms in one semester. Most between 1 and 5 in the morning.

In basic training, all of the fire drills were while we were in the shower.
...go figger.

Someone hooked up a rogue access point to the wireless network?
