Sounds like the recount is over, Rossi wins by 42.

Its over for today. But they will go for THIRD count including cherry picking and then use the results of that to get a FOURTH count that includes their operatives getting their grubby hands on stacks of ballots. Then its over.

But they will pay a price in the long run. Some people in Washington will see what the deal is after they get a snootfull of half a dozen recounts. There will be more than 42 who see the light and vote accordingly in the future.

Gregoire, 57, was hoping to become the state's second woman governor. She carried eight of the 39 counties, most notably the largest, King, which includes heavily Democratic Seattle. Gregoire was strongly backed by the women's movement and was best known for battling America's tobacco industry.
