This is a very interesting table that shows the break down of voters by IQ, race, and who they voted for. You will notices the weighted average of the votes shows that the average IQ of a Bush Voter is 101.6 and that of a Kerry voter is 98.1.
I guess they lose by 3.5 million votes and are 3.5 IQ points dumber than "Bubba" in the red states!

If you click on the
analysis by state, I need to move to DC, I'll be about 45 points dumber and 20 % richer.
Rich and dumb maybe it is the way to go though life.

I dispute all the data. It is impossible to define a group's average IQ from from part of the group's SAT score.
First SAT scores are what you learned in a educational enviorment and IQ scores are on raw intelligence and ability to learn. Even if You never attend school your IQ remains relative stable. SAT scores on the other hand can drop if you are not up to date on the material. A IQ over 140 is considered genus and anything over 138 puts you in the top two percentile. Presidents are usually 120 to 130. Try tickle.com and take a simple IQ test. Its as good as any national IQ! test.

I think my IQ of 746,734,313 probably skewed the result.

According to IQ and the Wealth of Nations, the average US IQ is 98.

This "analysis" like the analysis that purports to show the intelligence of Kerry voters as higher because of "state averages," is bullsh!t, and it's bigotry.
We know nothing from either analysis about the IQ's of people who actually voted. Since, I would submit, those who vote are not a random sample of those with IQ's, the comparison is unwarranted in the first place.
In the second place, even if true, it is meaningless. Intelligence isn't the only characteristic required for a proper exercise of the franchise: also needed are ethical judgment, moral beliefs, character in practice (however defined), and so many other traits that are--in my own personal experience--often negatively correlated with intelligence. I would submit to you that you will find Cambridge Massachusetts is (perhaps) the "smartest" political subdivision in the world, but as William F. Buckley, Jr. sagely observed, we would be better off being governed by 500 people chosen randomly from any phonebook than by those people.
Henry the VIII was one of the most accomplished men of his day: he wrote music, treatises on theology and natural science. He was interested in astronomy. He created the modern state of England. And yet... he was a ruthless despot who murdered even his own childhood friends. The American founders understood that the brightest should not rule, but that a combination of the brightest, the bravest, and above all those who are "good" should rule. Because no one of us is all of those things, we must all rule together.
So please, let's dispense with this elitist liberal BS and focus our energies on getting the conservative message to the ignorant and uneducated masses--even in Cambridge, MA.

So the average IQ in this country is 100? Wow. Doesn't that seem incredibly low?

"Draw what conclusions you will, but the chart is accurate according to it's underlying assumptions."
If I understand correctly, the IQ's were based SAT scores. Since not everyone takes the SAT's, actual average voter IQ's could be even lower assuming smart people go to college and stupid ones don't. Thats pretty depressing, but not surprising I guess.

actually the average iq of a human is 100 with standard deviation of 15 points. 50% of humans are 100 or lower

Actually, that difference measured in over 110 million voters would be significant.

Who is stupid enough to give his or her IQ information to a pollster? I don't think that's what they did. They just multiplied the average IQ of a race by the percentage that voted for a candidate and summed the IQs. Not a very good method. I would not assume that poor whites voted for Bush in the same proportion as rich whites.

My IQ is 137, I voted for Bush, and I'm a freshman at San Diego State University, California. SD is a conservative haven compared to Los Angeles or San Francisco!

This analysis is trash. Where did the IQ by race originate? Aryan Nation? IQ by race is pretty well established. The Bell Curve covers it pretty well and few people deny that different races score differently on IQ tests.

How many know? And if so, would tell the truth? Hello. Yes, my IQ is 45, excuse me while I wipe the drool from the phone.

Kinda' goes along with my explanation to a cousin (Dubya-voter who USED
to be a Canadian) of why conservative talk-radio is so freaking huge
(and liberal talk radio always fails):
Republican/conservatives can conceive of "Big Concepts" through words.
Democrats/Liberals/Socialists can't conceive even SMALL concepts without pictures.
(ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN news or Hollyweird films, especially the Oliver Stone type).
Actually, I suspect the REAL gap is bigger when testing mental ability to deal with
abstract concepts.

"How many people know their IQ?"
To judge by the people braging about their IQ it would appear that only those who score high know their IQ. Do you really care?
