The Matrix:

Neo: "There is no spoon"

--

Tank: "What do you need, Neo?"

Neo: "Guns, lots of guns"

Airplane:

"Yes I'm serious, and don't call me Shirley"

BaseketBall:

"Wake up b!tch, you're my new best friend"

Tombstone:

Wyatt - "You tell them I'm coming, and hell's coming with me. You hear? HELL'S COMING WITH ME!"

Road House:

Swayze - "Pain don't hurt"

Christmas Vacation:

Clark: "I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane, with all the other rich people, and I want him brought right here with a big ribbon on his head. And, I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no good, rotten, floor-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed, sack of monkey sh** he is! Hallelujah! Holly Sh**! Where's the Tylenol?"

Clark (as his superiors/coworkers pass him as they exit a conference room): "Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Chanukah."

Army of Darkness:

Ash - "Alright you primitive screw-heads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan; retails for about one hundred nine, ninety-five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right, shop smart, shop S-Mart!"

Ash - "Good? Bad? I'm the one with the gun."

The Blues Brothers:

Elwood - "We're on a mission from God."

Die Hard:

McClane - "Yippy-ki-yay mother-fu**a."

Fight Club:

Marla Singer - "This isn't a "for real" suicide thing. This is probably one of those "cry for help" things."

Tyler Durden - "Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken."

Durden - "Fu** Martha Stewart! Martha's polishing the brass on the Titanic. It's all going down, man."

I could continue, but I'll stop now...

Okay, a few from a just-okay movie with great psycho quotes:

"You raise cattle. Children just happen."

"A mother doesn't spy. A mother pays attention."

"Sorry about that, Marty, I didn't mean to maim you. I only meant to kill you."

But a truly great one:

"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

But then we could go on all day with great Python.

... Help, help, I'm being repressed.

"But then we could go on all day with great Python."

"Spam, Spam, Spam...." Personally I like the crucified singing in "The Life of Brian".

Creator to Rutger Hauer, "Blade Runner"

It's probably too long to be in the quotes section, but Roy's last speech is also classic, "... All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

It's amazing how the actual scene can affect a quote. Here you have whole Ridley Scott rain scene with Rutger Hauer's resigned tone. The last three words appear earlier in the movie, but with a whole different meaning when Leon says "Wake up, time to die!"

Isn't that the point?

Then I'm wanting to make a different point, too. I posted what I did so that those who don't recognize the great quotes from great movies will have an easier time searching out the great movie to see/hear it for themselves.

I'm also surprised no has posted what may be the most ripped off/imitated quote that there is. This is the way I remember the original, from Treasure of the Sierra Madre:

Bogart to Mexican claiming to be a Federale: "if you're a Federale, where are your badges?"

Reply from Mexican: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!"

I think it's:

"King of the 'o?"

"The Britons."

"'o are the Britons?"
