Oh, a 100 digit number.
My bad, I thought they meant the 13th root of 100.
What a crAPpy piece of reporting....where's the 100-digit number? Where's the result?

It's easy to balance your checkbook. Just put it directly in the center of your finger, so it doesn't fall.
But can he hit a nasty slider? That takes just as much (if not more) calculation, and you have a lot less time. Of course, a valid result isn't expressed in numbers, but with the batter standing on first or second.

Amateur. Lemme see him sell his own human calculator learning program for $49.95 on late Saturday night infomercials and then I'll be impressed!

I have a bridge to sell to anyone who believes that anyone can calculate the 13th root of a random 100 digit number in 12 seconds in his head.

sorry, i thought you were talking about mentats from the fallout games.
To: Docbarleypop
The Mentats we were discussing are from the DUNE SF Series..........Human computers are the only type allowed by law because the machines enslaved humanity for thousands of years.....

To: Red Badger
ok, mentats are a drug in the game to increase intellegence in players, i am sure its a reference to Dune since the entire game spoofs pop culture.
To: Docbarleypop
Looks like the Herbert Estate could have grounds for a lawsuit for copyright infringement. The word mentat was coined by Frank Herbert way back in the early 70's.......

possible, but then pretty much anything that happened in the 70s and 80s could be sued about with the video game. there is a point in the game that you have to go in a well and if you take any of the coins you lose popularity (goonies "other peoples' dreams") if you wear a leather jacket you can get a dog to follow you around ala "mad max" its a great campy game that if you enjoy 3rd person rpgs it is one of the best.
