This is the craziest killings I have seen in a while, or at least since that Texas woman drowned all her children.
He will never see the light of freedom again, in any case, since he probably was quite sane, but totally twisted. He is a Charles Manson type no doubt. Despicable and totally off the wall.
I understand that stolen treestands and cameras are a very common problem. Fortunately, I have not had it happen yet. I use a climbing treestand and permanant stands and keep my cameras well hidden.
Several years ago, my husband and I were riding fence on our property when I saw movement high in a tree. It took me a few seconds to focus, but it was a hunter in full camo, rifle in hand, sitting in that tree. As my husband walked up to him, the fellow climbed down and started shaking his head in disappointment. Apparently, he had his wife drop him off the evening before and she was to come back for him a few hours later. Here it was around noon the next day and she still hadn't showed!
We felt a little sorry for him, but he got the message to never "visit" again. To tell the truth, I think he was glad we came along when we did.
He was probably afraid to come down!!

When a story fits "the template", off they go. In this case, drooling racist redneck white (probably Christian) fanatical gun-mongering animal killers fighten poor peaceful minority person with ethnic slurs and threats of violence, such that he has no recourse but to defend himself. Facts which counter this story are irrelevent.
NBA Rule: Disrespect an athelete and anyone in the stands can be beaten.
Modified NBA/hunting Rule: Call anyone a name disrespecting them and you can be beaten or shot depending on what is available and your heritage.

I don't know. I was once called a lily-white bastard. I was carrying, and I didn't shoot the guy who made that remark. In NC, you can only use deadly force if you are in imminent danger of death, or sexual assault. Just because calls you names does not justify killing someone... at least in NC.
