According to WTMJ-Am radio news, the hunter accused of killing six hunters is now claiming he was shot at first. He is saying he left property the first time he was asked and the other hunters followed him, surrounded him, called him racial and other names, and shot at him first.
My daughters boyfriend is always chasing guys out of his tree stands, it's private property so he feels okay confronting them. He was out hunting when this story broke and I had my daughter call him on his cell to please walk away next time. It's not worth it.
He sniped or stalked, bottom line. Is Wisconsin a death penalty state?
No death penalty.
as jesse jackson once said: minorities are not racists.

Thanks. (Sigh!)
I suspect if he'd call a game warden to do the chasing, the tresspassing would stop. Nothing like a hefty fine and the confiscation of property to teach a serious lesson. Plus, it's a whole lot safer.
Just tell him to be polite. People do get lost in the woods before light. Some people escalate the situation with their attitude. You just don't do that when everyone is holding a gun.
Love that show. Hank also made a reference that he didn't like Khan because he was annoying, not because he was foreign.
Unbelievable.
Who's representing him?
He's got a hard head, but I think we may have convinced him last night.
Who in their right mind surrounds somone they want to leave, then shoots at him?
The idiot got 'lost' twice then ran out of ammo otherwise the death toll would have been higher.
I think anyone who calls someone a name or throws beer on them should be beaten or shot to death.
He's just gotten real fed up the last few years. Kept getting his stands stolen, along with one of those motion camera's he'd set up. This year his one stand looks like Fort Knox. His new camera is so well hidden he has to look twice to find it.
Some seem to be saying how "unreasonable" it is for the hunting party to be without multiple guns at the time they became shooting victims.
Maybe they were scouting where they were going to set-up the next morning. Perhaps it was only two minutes from where their campsite/lodge was positioned and they didn't feel like shouldering a weapon to simply go talk to a guy about the location of his treestand. No matter what, Vang should recognize he wasn't on public property and should have peacefully moved to where he was permitted to hunt.
Using a racial altercation...how utterly predictable is that pathetic stunt? That must be in some nifty leather-bound trial lawyer playbook when they have a sociopathic client to defend.

That is plain pitiful that he has to go through that.
First the two that asked him to leave the property. One was armed the other was not. Both were shot. This confrontation could go either way, all three are still alive so we will hear both sides of the story.
The second group came to assist the first, and for some strange reason came unarmed (WTF) all were shot and killed. This is a no brainer if the facts hold, cold blooded murder.
The last and third group came to try and rescue those shot in 1 & 2 and also came unarmed (hard to believe, very hard to believe) and again if the facts hold again cold blooded murder.
When Vang was arrested he was out of amo, this is a pretty good indecation that he in a killing field and only stopped when he was no longer capable of killing. Maybe he was provoked in confrontation 1, but provoked to the point of murdering 8 in three separate instances? 7 of whom were unarmed? One would have to believe that all 8 charged him, threatening his life and that he was down to his last bullet when the final attack occurred. Selling that defense is not going to be easy.
It is, and this is practically in his back yard. Its about 150 yards from his back door, just in the woods a bit.
The race card beats a royal flush.
It is simply unbelievable that anyone thinks this had anything to do with racism.
Good Lord.
The second group came to assist the first, and for some strange reason came unarmed
I think they were already on their way into the woods, without knowing the first group were shot. Why a third group would come unarmed is beyond me.
