Vote pro-life, and insist that your legislators vote pro-life.

Pray, as always. But success is not easy. Surely you're aware of various threads even here on FR concerning the recent appointment of Gonzales to fill the shoes of Ashcroft, as myself and many others suggested he was the wrong man for the job, particularly given questions on his abortion views. Then others, from around the country, sought to have Spectre removed from his chairmanship because he blatantly challenged the President not to send pro-lifers before the committee, or those even suspected of such a 'crime'. And yet Gonzales will replace Ashcroft. And Spectre reigns supreme. One does begin to think - that nothing can be done except to offer the criticism, much later, that I told you so.

It's always baffled me how someone could think that only a "wanted" child should be born. They don't see the inherent sanctity and "worth" of human life.

If they think a person's worth only comes from the fact that someone else "wants" them, then what's not to say that every child, every adult who is not "wanted" by someone should also be exterminated. Very sick and demented reasoning to me - reasoning that's led not only to the atrocity of abortion but to some of the most evil regimes in history.

It seems some of these same people are the ones who do not understand the moral worth of getting rid of dictators who commit genocide. Seems just an extension of the same reasoning that would allow one to not want to rid the world of such evil.

In the case of abortion and dictators, it comes to secrecy and an out-of-sight out-of-mind mentality. They don't want the pictures of what happens in a real abortion to be seen as they know to do so will change hearts and minds. They don't want pictures of mass graves in Iraq to be shown - out-of-sight out-of-mind. They are all about secrecy and phoney appearances. A woman's choice is more sacred than human life. If a country ruled by a dictator has the outward appearance of a neat little society - no ugliness of dissension shown to the world, no torture or rape scenes being shown on TV, then it's a good thing as it appears to be all well and good - totally ignoring the evil being perpetrated under the rule of a tyrannt.

Secrecy is their SOP - when exposed to the light of day - when the truth about abortion is revealed, just as when the truth of an Iraq is revealed, there is no sane or moral defense.

And think about it, if Mary was in one of our major cities today, she would be part of PPs target market: A teen mom who was pregnant prior to marriage, running around with an older guy...

MUTATING THREAD WARNING!

As Jesus said, "But then how would the scriptures be fulfulled?"

This being the Christmas season, recall that Herod tried "retroactive abortion" by giving orders to kill all the boys in the vicinity of Bethlehem 2 years old and younger, in an attempt to kill Jesus.
Hey, they were mostly undesirable, ungovernable Jews anyway, not fine, upstanding ROMANS.

Thank you Margaret Sanger, Peter Singer, and ... Yasser Arafat?

[Multiple Anti-Sanger Torpedos ARMED. FIRE!!!]

"Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives."

It must be working. Liberals in the US and EuroweeniesTM are aborting themselves out of both politics AND the gene pool.

"The procreation of [the diseased, the feeble-minded and paupers] should be stopped."

What to do with diseased geniuses like Stephen Hawking?

"The marriage bed is the most degenerative influence in the social order..."

Still a spinster, eh?

"[Our objective is] unlimited sexual gratification without the burden of unwanted children..."

But you won't let spinsterhood prevent you from becoming a Nympho-slut, will you?
Sex and the City, here we come!

PS--Margaret, your face could act as birth control!

I guess that would bring to mind a CHRISTIAN SYMBOL and might cause guilt.

Isn't that how non-believers ALWAYS view the cross?

Remember John 3:17, "the Bible's Goodrich Blimp":
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

The cross is the vehicle by which forgiveness was accomplished, NOT the means of condemnation...

IMO, the abort photos will cure the ignorance and immorality of all but the most cruel and liberal pro-abort.

Except for women who've already had abortions and can't face up to what they've done...
It takes a LOT of tact, wisdom, 'sensitivity' to help women who've been through it...how would you like to be told that "you've murdered your own child" ??

I am surprised that their idea of a Christma Card wouldn't just have a picture of a coat hanger. I mean isn't that what all us pro-lifers want women to resort to.

Yes it is rather delicate. The only thing to do is reassure them and let them know that God loves them and is capable of dealing with their pain.

should have been a sarcasm tag after comment 113. I just read it again and it sounds horrible, like I actually condone abortions that sent a sinking feeling into my gut.

Thank you for the suggestions. I can tell you right now that the sadness that I feel will never go away, but, I will do my part by volunteering at centers. I am determined to turn my sadness into activism. And yes, I am a female.

Why is it a mutating thread, exactly?

It's documented in the Planned Parenthood expose Grand Illusions that she told a granddaughter, "[Having sex] three times a day is about right." Apparently she hopped in the sack with most everyone in the early twentieth-century Socialist movement at one time or another.

Sanger and the peopl she hung out with repelled Leon Trotsky to the point of nausea. That should tell you something about her.

I love the one showing a nativity scene with an empty manger...

I especially like the pretty pink one representing the emasculate constipation of the virgin sodomites...
