Who wants to bet that Kofi somehow goes "missing" soon, meaning he has fled to some nutjob third world country? After he can no longer pay off the thug dictator who runs the country, his body will eventually wash up on shore somewhere.
We need some system of cooperation with other nations, but I don't think the UN is salvageable at this point. It does far more harm than good.
Not to speak of the widespread corruption of an organization that is run by tyrant nations, the main purpose of the UN is to spread moral corruption and death around the world. Its condom program has widely increased the spread of AIDS in Africa. It has helped China impose forced abortions on its citizens. It has sterilized women against their will and without their knowledge. It has promoted abortion with a mixture of foreign aid and blackmail. Its agents run sex for food rings wherever they operate.
When an organization is that corrupt, it's usually better to dissolve it and begin again than to try to fix it.
I wonder how long it will be before they find that some of the OfF money bought plane tickets for Mohammed Atta and the other sons of pigs involved in 9/11.

scandal details get worse by the dayExcerpt:First came Monday's hearings in Norm Coleman's Senate Subcommittee on Investigations where we learned that Saddam Hussein gamed the program for twice as much unmonitored revenue as previously thought -- $21.3 billion, up from $10 billion. Also fascinating was chief weapons inspector Charles Duelfer's testimony that he believes, based on what high-level Iraqi sources have told him, that U.N. Oil for Food director Benon Sevan did in fact profit from Iraqi oil vouchers. Mr. Sevan continues to deny the allegation.
Then on Wednesday Henry Hyde's House International Relations Committee held hearings revealing how some of the money financed terrorism....
Saddam also gave oil vouchers to Abu Abbas, the man responsible for the 1985 hijacking of the cruise ship Achille Lauro....
Perhaps the biggest news of all is that investigators are finally starting to crack the secrets held by the French bank BNP Paribas, which administered Oil for Food's official accounts and may prove to be the Rosetta stone for deciphering program-related wrongdoing....
Finally, former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, who's heading up the U.N.'s own official Oil for Food probe, has now promised an interim report by January .....
