The president, in an official visit, met with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe to discuss ways of working together to protect democracy, human rights, the rule of law, fight terrorism, drug trafficking and promote development through economic growth and opportunity. He also met with Colombian youth Little League Players.
One outcome of the APEC summit, Bush and China's President Hu Jintao discussed China, Taiwan, and North Korea.
Writes a New Zealander, "Bush again hijacked the agenda at this year's Apec summit, using it to mount a new attack on the "Axis of Evil" nations North Korea and Iran. It was a move that the Asia-Pacific leaders acquiesced to by their silence."
There are some leftover photos from the APEC summit.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island.

QUOTE: In Colombia, President Bush said he hopes Irans claim that it has suspended uranium enrichment and has no nuclear weapons ambitions is true, but there must be verification." Iran must earn the trust of those of us who are worried about them developing a nuclear weapon.

Thanks for the pics once again, Gretchen. The other day I chanced to see on CNN some kind of medical show called The Daily Dose. Copy cats?!

Harumph! Rin, please see Carolinamom's post at 11.

President Bush has rather consistently been the one to initiate the handshakes with foreign leaders in S. America

Looks like they took good care of our Dubya, glad he's heading home though.
