Bill Clinton said that the divorce rate is lower in the blue states. Could that be because so many people in the inner cities never got married in the firt place? Could it be that places like Massachusetts allow rich Catholics to annul marriages of 30 years? Could it be that more gays live there? (San Francisco) There are many reasons it may be a lower rate and it has more to do with lack of morals than morals, and I for one am sick and tired of hearing those holier-than-thou liberals claiming morality. That is the biggest joke yet! One more thing: they say that the economy runs from the blue states. I suggest that they look at the county map and check where the taxes are paid. The suburbs are RED and if you take those evil corporations in those high rise buildings out of their blue zones, the welfare and homeless people that live there will sink their theory in 5 seconds. The people who work in those corporations live outside the inner city and pay their taxes elsewhere. Some research on this theory might be interesting, huh? Thanks for listening to my rant, Dagny
That is yet a further contributor.
Bill says lots of thing.....most of it untrue....
Ya think?
Boy, That's a good one!
The blue states have much lower moral standards, and probably have more cohabitation per capita.
Duh! LOL
It should be noted that inhabitants of Blue States are more likely to shack up than marry. This explains any alleged discrepancy in divorce rates since they never marry in the first place, but instead play "musical beds" every other weekend.
The lowest divorce rate is Nevada. That's because billions of people go to Las Vegas, get drunk, get married, come back home, sober up and get divorced.
The blue states have open marriages.
What does bill know about morality issues?
NOTHING!
Divorce rates cited by liberals are based on a per capita basis. Not on the percentage of divorces against marriages which gives you the true percentage of marriages ending in divorce.
Hard to get divorced if you are co habituating
Exactly correct
The same goes for the elitist who claim religious people have the same divorce record as non religious people.
On paper they may, but it needs to be weighted to reflect the co habitation situations.
A divorce rate at all for people of faith is nothing to be proud of, but apples should be compared to apples.
The younger the bride and groom, the more likely that divorce will occur.
Thats easy - marriage rates are lower in Blue States.
Sorry to say but I'm about to add the the statistics of divorce in a red state. sorry folks but it wasn't my idea.
