Peterson May Join 'The Qs' Infamous Death Row
SAN QUENTIN -- If Scott Peterson is condemned to die he would become the latest addition to a San Quentin Death Row that already houses serial killer Richard Ramirez, known as the Night Stalker, Richard Allen Davis, the killer of Polly Klaas, David Carpenter, the Trailside Killer, and recently arrived Cary Stayner.
Ironically, Peterson could also catch an occasional glimpse across the San Francisco Bay waters of the spot where he launched his boat on Christmas Eve 2002, not far from where the bodies of his pregnant wife and unborn child eventually floated to shore.
Now convicted of their murders, Peterson will be transported to San Quentin if the jury recommends a death sentence following a hearing that begins Monday.
I don't see any closure in that. I do see closure for something like corporal punishment though!!!! Too bad that is 'inhumane'....

Why does her half transfer only to her mother and none of it to her father? I saw him once talk out about Laci -- it was very moving.
Death Row inmates do not get conjugal visits.
I really don't know the answer to that other than maybe because Laci's mother and father were divorced and she had legal custody of Laci from the time she was a small child. Also I think Sharon went to court to become the legal guardian over Laci's estate.
CO the ninth circut not only covers California but it covers 8 other states. They are headquartered in San Francisco.
Here are the nine states: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii.
We would all like to get rid of them. Supposedly congress was going to try and split the ninth circut up because it has charge over more states than any other court.
Dante, it goes to Laci's estate. Sharon went to court to become the appointed administrator. The money will likely go to firstly pay the Lawyer, then be divided amongst her whole family including her real father. Laci I'm sure had a Will but neither Scott, nor her son will be able to inherit!! So goes to the next level of next of kin (at least that's the way it works here). I suppose she could have willed it all to a charity but I doubt it.
runningbear, I am not sure that he could have lent his parents anymore than what half of his interest in the home would be.
I realize that he will never recieve any of the money himself, it was just that some people thought he would never profit from anything due to killing Laci. I was just pointing out that he still would be entitled to his half of the estate. Technically he did receive his half of the house only he gave it to his parents for money for his defense. At least that is what I guess happened.
Okay, thanks for the 9th circuit info Spunky. I agree, too bad folks in those 8 states didn't realize what this group of "judicial terrorists" are doing to their already over burdened state budgets.

So, the Petersons took what they could get out of the home of equity at that time... yes, for his defense.... Now it will be Sharon and Probate to settle the estate, and of course, Sharon will most likely win the wrongful death of Laci and Conner, and Scott will not have nothing nothing nothing....... ;o) Just like in OJ.....
Given liberal California's Nine Circus, it'll be a quarter century before Scott Peterson's executed. I wouldn't count on him being given a lethal injection any time soon. Appeals first, sentence afterwards.
I hope I'm wrong. But seemed to me that Sharon wanted to prevent Scott from profiting from the murder (through books, tabloids, films, songs, etc.) but the courts ruled against her and threw out the Son of Sam laws. If true, I hope it was appealed.

They can't even keep their own words from betraying their lunacy? Conner didn't resemble a litter of kittens to me. He looked very much like a little person.
Spunky, I think that's why Sharon Rocha's Lawyer is arguing that the transaction was purely a paper one (making it in effect fraudulent) and thereby over-encumbering SP'S 1/2 interest. NO bank would have even considered writing that loan. Peterson's were simply dirty dealing but I believe that the Probate Courts will sort this out. IF any money actually exchanged hands, which I'm sure it didn't, the Peterson's will not be paid back. I think they were trying to secure some of Laci's interest for Scooter, via the back door. They are ALL skanky folks imo, the entire Peterson clan.
I remember reading that Dante. And I agree, the Courts will have to sort that out.
