Pim Fortuyn, by any American definition, was a leftist. He was primarily a gay rights advocate, and secondarily an economic socialist. The ONLY position that he had that we could share was a resistance to the Islamic takeover. And what motivated it was that he knew very well how Muslims deal with gays. It is ridiculous to call a socialist gay activist who could see the Arabic writing on the wall a 'right winger'

My point was that liberal "tolerance" is so shallow that simply labeling someone as right-wing is enough to make violence against them more acceptable.
