Who is scaring the "Lemmings for Kerry" crowd? Quite obviously, someone on the left is stirring up problems: rumors of Republican vote fraud, a divided nation, psychological problems among the Kerry followers, people wanting to move to Canada, etc., etc
Qui bono? Who profits from the nation becoming divided? What uncaring group would cause harm among the less stable in society this way? When one stops to consider that whatever group starting these problems has both a grass roots and media following, it tends to narrow things down some.
Nonetheless, I must admit that the Lemmings for Kerry are great fun to watch.
Acting like one of the Pajamahadeen crowd here, I've started doing a lot of speed-reading of articles over coffee and breakfast nowadays. Last week I came upon a couple articles mentioning "PEST" in conjunction with psychologists and read right over (and disregarded) the newly invented meaning.
In the Swedish, French, Italian, Indian and German health care sectors the acronym PEST pertains to all "political, economic, social and technological" factors affecting any industry. I have even seen it mentioned in American literature from time to time. So, that not being something I'm interested in, I quickly moved on.
It wasn't until the next day that I learned some junior psychobabble people at the American Health Association (AHA) down in Florida invented a new disorder they call Post Election Selection Trauma (PEST). Unfortunately, I couldn't find information on this group or their "therapists" -- except that they signed on to some of the far left's children's rights programs.
What a handle for a disturbed person -- PEST -- eh? If nothing else, that'll make the supposed afflicted feel better. So Pest is what we'll call them. In fact, we'll be glad to call all those on the left pests.
Rob Gordon, the AHA executive director, said these PESTs are like "the canaries in the mine shaft. There could be thousands of others, even Republicans, who need to be in therapy over this election."
Republicans, too? I don't think so. We're still celebrating.
Referring to PESTs as "the canaries in the mine shaft," though? Is Gordon calling them the first to die because Republicans won big this year? Perhaps this therapist needs his head examined -- certainly his rhetoric.
These people at AHA represent themselves as practicing psychologists. That may or may not be true. But this Gordon guy evidently does not think very well before speaking.
Twice last week, organization people from Canada were interviewed on local radio inviting liberal Americans dissatisfied with our government to move up north. One interesting point is that both times the Canadian speaker used to live here. Also, when questioned by the talk show host just a little, their stories about the great socialist society in Canada totally fell apart.
We won't tell the lefties that, though. If they want to bail out and move to Canada, we'll point the way for them. The official Canadian government, however, has other ideas about that. Between applying and actually moving there, say the officials, there is a year waiting period. But, for our socialist brethren who really wish to make the move, I, for one, will be happy to show them how to get that year waiting period waved.
But, back to the real politics of this issue. Who benefits from all the discord being seeded among the left? Whoever it is has the liberal media behind them and is good at propaganda. It must be someone who has something to benefit from dividing the nation.
It seems the next presidential campaign has already begun. Anyone have any idea who might come waltzing in about 2007 as our nation's Great Unifier?
Yeah. All hail Hillary, the political harlot who will hustle Americans into believing she can heal all ills and salvage a divided nation. That's what she will be telling us, anyway. Because, by then even those of us who suspected will have forgotten that she started most of the problems.
One little fact about the Internet, though: This article will still be available to be read.
Lemmings for Kerry are great fun to watch.
PEST was stolen and degraded to canaries by junior psychobabble people at AHA.
Yeah. All hail Hillary, the political harlot who will hustle Americans into believing she can heal all ills and salvage a divided nation.
It is fun to hear the wailing of the lemmings. I had to put up with 8 years of Clinton from the libs in my family. I am quite enjoying the victory of the sane party.
I don't know that there's an orchestrated effort to whip people into these frenzies. They seem to be going through classic stages of grief - denial, anger, placing blame, etc. Most of the mainstream Democrats are already in the "acceptance" phase, though some of the more vocal ones are still kicking and screaming.
The people who seem genuinely scared are the Establishment Media. They think they've lost their stranglehold on shaping popular opinion. Actually, I think the pundit was correct who said the media's support for Kerry would be worth 10-15 points. If the Media covered Kerry the same way they covered Bush, then W's victory would have been 57-42 easy.
The 8 years of Bush are FAR WORSE for the Democrats than the Clinton years were for the Republicans. Even though Clinton occupied the White House, Republicans were making solid gains in the congress, hopefully the judiciary, and also the Hearts And Minds of the American People.
Clinton only won by pretending to be a conservative. Kerry got as close as he did by DENYING he was liberal. That can't make any actual liberals feel good about their future electoral chances.

Lefties are suffering from the mental disorder inherent to their declining political and ideological position. Some will always try to exploit the suffering of others -even under the guise of helping them.
Republicans are not suffering from these problems. Party on!
There is for a fact an effort to whip people into frenzies. Evidence of this, for example, can be found in the rhetoric before the election, the "10,000" lawyers, etc.
I'm afraid the faction that is grieving is being played. Not hard to do with that mindset.
I know they WERE being whipped into a frenzy before the election. Now they are mostly like Red Sox fans, circa 1919-2003. Most are going about their lives while some are given to obsessing over wild conspiracy theories.
If there were STILL 10,000 lawyers ready to litigate the election, then I'd agree with the premise. But the lawyers are gone and the only ones who think Kerry still has a shot are barking moonbats.
As evidenced from the results of the Howard Dean campaign, smoke on the internet does not equal heat at the ballot box. All the Democrats I am personally acquainted with have scraped the Kerry bumper stickers off their cars and are quietly going about their lives.
I agree, most are returning to normal. My point is there is an effort from the dems to keep stirring the pot.
Another piece of evidence is Kerry's interent message sent yesterday.
The moonbats love being kept riled up.
Cui bono indeed. The ones who benefit from keeping the waters roiled are:
the Mainstream Media, who are supplied with ready-to-serve plates of BS;
Columnists, who don't have to work at writing about real subjects;
the 'rat campfollowers like Beckel and O'Donnell et al who can't get an honest job;
the lawyers who are even now soaking up great blobs of sucker-dollars from the lemmings and their instigators;
Congressional 'rats, who seek to keep the Administration from getting all the media air- and facetime.
All it costs them is the effort needed to keep the dullards in an uproar. Cheap at the price.
Instead of PEST, how about PIST [pronounced like pi$$ed]:
Post Implosion Screwball Tantrum
Yesterday, I gave an acquaintance a drive to the grocery store. (She doesn't own a car, so she was happy to get a ride.) In the course of our conversation, she made the comment that with Bush being re-elected, there would be more homeless and jobless among us.
I don't know this lady well, but this is how I responded. I very seriously looked her in the eyes, and said something like this:
"I don't know who you are listening to, who is trying to scare you, but whatever you are hearing from them is wrong. If anything, the Bush administration, because they believe in helping small businesses by lower their taxes, more jobs will be created. But not to argue THAT point -- I just want to tell you that whereever you are getting your political information -- they are trying to frighten you. Just keep an open mind and watch and see. Don't let anyone frighten you."
Well, she listened (although she didn't like it), and I am praying that she will understand what I was trying to get across.
The DNC is making an effort to frighten people. That's their game plan. Of course, we know that in the long run, all of this fear-based rhetoric will pass. But in the mean time, let's do what we can to assure our liberal acquaintances that there is nothing to FEAR.
Laughing at our liberal friends doesn't do any good.
Looking down on them, like saying "the adults are in charge" doesn't do any good.
Let's simply ask them not to allow the Democratic partyline to frighten them. Ask them to keep an open mind and judge for themselves -- rather than listening to the dying gasps of a dead political party.
Now that you mention it, that was kind of weird. I guess it depends on how it is received by the Dems. My sense is that John Kerry will join Al Gore, Saddam Hussein, Ma Richards and Osama Bin Laden in the "misunderestimated George W. Bush and now are drooling lunatics who spend most of their day babbling about Karl Rove" club.
That may or may not define the mainstream of the Democrat party.
Heck, I'd even be willing to chip in on the gas money to get their worthless rear ends out of our country.
I remember hearing some therapist on o'reilly saying that this is a bipartisan disease. He kept insisting that Republicans come in for help, too. Dude, whatever. We're all so happy we need platic surgery to remove our smiles.
And Hillary? A vote for Hillary in 2008 is a vote for armed insurrection by 2012.
I've been pointing out the horrible, disgusting RACISM and SEXISM the so-called "liberals" have been heaping on Secretary Rice lately as evidence of their moral and intellectual dishonesty and hypocrisy.
The so-called "enlightened", "intellectual" and "progressive" left referring to an attractive, intelligent, and capable African-American woman as "Aunt Jemima", "brown sugar", and "house n*gg*r" is beyond the pale! It actually turns my stomach that they would use such ugly epithets against someone with Dr. Rice's academic and political accomplishments.
I thought this kind of ugliness and blind hatred went out with the Ku Klux Klan, but I was wrong. It lives on in the Democratic Party.
I'm sorry, but it makes me sad enough to bring tears to my eyes, the fact that something as ugly as racial bigotry still lives on in America.
Want to see real apartheid? Look no further than your local Democratic headquarters. Those b@stards.
