tomkow smiles and proudly says, "I'm training for upper management position: Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for the rest of day."
LOL!!
I thought you'd like that one.
I'd hoped to have all of this Q,A,&E project done by Monday! Instead, I'm about to do #25 out of the 25 needed for batch #4 of 8 that I've been working on since Friday! (Only 2000 words so far, but I've had to "color" 11 images for it. ... I'd MUCH rather color for the Canteen; those images are more fun. LOL)
For the project, the publisher assigned the TOC (table of contents, which for this project would probably better be described as "categories"). Part of the delay was the two days I lost last week after we discovered that changes needed to be made to that TOC. The publisher did advise that my pay will be bumped up a bit to compensate for those changes, but didn't advise by how much. (But that's far better than the "suck it up!" attitude that most publishers seem to have!)
This project is supposed to also be our trial run for compensation for future ones. In an ideal world I'd get some extra for the time spent on the images for this project, but I didn't know going into it that it'd require so many. I hope to at least be able to negotiate compensation for them in the future. (Images take on average twice as long to do as a Q,A,&E, which is why I try to get as many Q,A,&E out of each one as I can.) ;)
