If the contention is he did nothing wrong .. then why should he be discharged prior to his normal release date?
Drop the charges and return him to duty.. it will do great things for the troops moral

The Iraqi was apparently the victim of a lack of trust which is 100% the fault of those who had faked surrender or booby trapped bodies.
Until our enemy guarantees that they will never play games with the act of surrendering, they should all be shot on sight 100% of the time.
