The EU hates the US and Israel and is helping Iran stall so that they get a weapon. I think they believe that they need to shift the balance of power to their side and that can be accomplished by putting US in its place. I'm not saying they--EU--want to see the US fall, but they would like us to fail so they can say "I told you so".
Why else would they issue all sorts of comments about how it force is out of the question and so on. They are trying to tie the hands of the US and allow IRAN to develop its bomb so that the US does not have too much power over the oil reserves of the world.
Let's face it, if we are able to get Iraq on the right track, we will have a friend that has lots of oil. Same with Iran. What if democracy was able to win over the terrorist gov. of Iran? Again, another US style democracy as the #2 producer of oil, second to Saudi Arabia? Wow. The french would not be very happy now would they?

If it's a missile, the atomic part would be called a warhead not a bomb.
C'mon ... there's no need for this kind of uncertainty. Let's just ask either our Most Favored Friend China (who just inked a billion dollar energy deal with Iran) or our Partner in the War on Terror (who outfitted Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant) what Iran's got up its sleeve.
If anyone knows Iran's military and technological capabilities for sure, someone I suspect these two do.

Well, if missiles carrying nukes is really what they want, than that is what they really should expect to recieve.
Although France, Germany and France’s actions may often lead one to believe this, it would not be their interest anymore than ours for Iran to have a nuclear tipped missile.
France and Germany are much closer to Iran than we.
I really doubt that they believe their liberal politics would protect them from the hard-line Imams in Iran if they had nuclear weapons.

Some people would take your comment and tell you to put a tin foil hat on, however I wouldn't. I believe the EU and Russia to be the "beast" that Revelations speaks of in the bible. Revelations says that 10 countries team up and they are all represented by animals that are current EU countries and Russia such as "feet of a bear, shoulders of a leapord, head of a lion". Their actions of retreating from their Judo-Christian culture into a very secular group is scary. After all, Europe was what held back the muslim hoards many centuries ago. This time in this spiritual/physical fight, Europe is siding with the muslims. Revelations speaks of the beast as having one goal and that is to destroy the harlot that "sits on top of her". The description of the harlot is eerily reminiscient of Lady Libert adorned in purple and scarlet.
Revelations says that these ten countries lend their power for one hour and destroy the harlot and then the alliance itself goes off into destruction. History has not yet verified all of these prophecies in Revelations but it sure looks like the players are all taking the stage.

Fox is reporting that Iran has 'til Monday to comply with their European agreement vis a vis developing nukes, so they've been working night and day to produce nuclear 'gas', a necessary component or some such thing. We need to do something asap.
