So far an average of 29% of all provisional ballots in Ohio have been rejected. Thuis bodes well for the President as it is becoming just about impossible for sKerry to even get close. GW has picked up a total of 4220 additional votes, sKerry has picked up 2399. Go to the source for more info; It's a lefty website but the information appears valid
was trying to post the link but failed
Some people like to keep up on how things are progressing in Ohio.
the link doesn't work
Aren't they pinning their hopes on Florida now?
jeez sorry try www.ohvotesuppression.blogspot.com Please forgive my screwup
The funny part is, that even if 100% were all good, and 100% went all totally to kerry, that kerry STILL LOST.
But the Greens and Libertarians evidently are intent on counting them anyway costing the taxpayers of Ohio $1.5 million...because every vote counts...but only in states that Kerry lost.
We haven't heard about provisional ballots being rejected because the voter has already voted absentee, early, or both, even though we can be sure the rats did plenty of both.
Ohio doesn't have any early voting aside from "true" absentee ballots.
I don't know about credible, but try dailykos.com or the slightly wackier Eschaton at atrios.blogspot.com.
I think it's the same 400 people on all these sites.
50 percent crank rate
Here is the link he tried to post: http://www.ohvotesuppression.blogspot.com/
Looks like a lib blog
This shouldn't be to surprising. Unless you're talking about a separation of a couple hundred votes, from what I've seen the margins generally hold through recounts, counts of absentee ballots and the like, so why should provisional ballots be any different? I don't like it that we had so many problems that so many people, including many on our side, had to cast provisional ballots (I'd like to see a completely mail-in system or a lot more early voting, everywhere). But if this doesn't put the tinfoil hats in the drawer, I don't know what will.
Those ballots are tilting Republican? Golly, must be voter fraud....(/sarcasm)
I'd like to see either an electronic voting system with a paper trail, or a scan system. Part of me wishes that were standardized everywhere, but it is up to the states/counties/cities to decide. Is there any way to mandate positive ID for at least the federal election process?
Even with no fraud concerns, I wish the process was more efficient overall than it is now, where you could have all the votes tallied within 24 hours at the most, with the only exceptions/delays being overseas absentee ballots (mostly military) and in the event of a write-in candidate.
"I can hear the screams of the Dems in pain right now! Wooo hoooo! ..their heads are exploding at DU to the strains of Slim Whitman..."
Ah yes..."Mars Attacks!" ...one of the few highlights of the movie.
I'd sure love to know who the 29% failed provisional ballots were cast for. 99% democrat is my guess.
One thing I've noticed.....the throw-out rate is much higher in sKerry leaning counties Cuyhahoga is like 40%
Provisional votes are going about 60/40 for Bush. On Election night, Blackwell said he saw them going about 55/45 for the President. Looks like he was close to the mark!
