If you think that comparing Evangelical Christians to the Taliban sounds extreme, you might just be a normal American. But if you think that the comparison is valid, you might just be a supporter of North Carolina Senator Julia Boseman. In fact, Bosemans supporters have just launched a new website making that very comparison. Even worse, they go on to say the following of both Republicans and Christian Fundamentalists: Hate is their currency. Ignorance is their sacrament. Racism is their communion.
Julia Bosemans attacks on Evangelical Christians began months ago in one of the most disgraceful episodes of political passive aggression in North Carolina history. Bosemans campaign brought her sexual orientation into the race by saying, among other things, Now is the time that we must elect openly (lesbian, etc.) members to the North Carolina State Senate to protect our rights.

Did she win?
Yes, here is the sad truth from the full story: "And, of course, Julia Boseman won her election. She did it by sitting back and grinning while her opponent was falsely dubbed a bigot and a hate criminal by hysterical homosexuals and remorseless reporters."

Hate is their currency. Ignorance is their sacrament. Racism is their communion. I'd say this fits the left a whole lot better. The threats, intimidatation, lawsuits, people with opposing views physically attacked by their goons.
Look at all the Republican Headquartes that were assaulted. Tires slashed on GOTV vans in Milwaukee.
Yup.

Read "The Pink Swastika" by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams, it should be online in its entirety here: www.abidingtruth.com (sorry it's not a link, you'll have to copy'n'paste).
It is an unbelievable history of Nazism and its philosophical link to homosexuality. Very well researched and documented. Also "The Hidden Hitler" by Lothar Machtan, a scholarly German historian making the case that Hitler was homosexual himself.
Hitler's purge of Roehm and other homosexual SA leaders was not against homosexuals, but against those who wanted his power. If fact, the leaders of the early "gay" rights freaks in the 80s here (ACT-UP people) admitted reading "Mein Kampf" for inspiration and techniques. There is a strong connection between homosexuality, Nazism, aggression and so on. Even in this country, many of the "Nazi party" guys have been homosexuals. And of course, many have been pederasts, which is a long time historical fact.
That's why until the word "homosexual" was invented by one in 1869, homosexuals were universally called "sodomites" and "pederasts" - just neutrally descriptve words. Describing acts, not "communities".

I guess we won't have to wait too long for her to introduce a gay marriage bill, will we?

Thanks for the link, but I couldn't find the phrase Hate is their currency. Ignorance is their sacrament. Racism is their communion. I did a Google phrase, and that phrase comes up in a few websites, but none seem to be about Julia Boseman specifically.

They bragged about their vile actions which was supported by the local mediots.
"I guess we won't have to wait too long for her to introduce a gay marriage bill, will we?'
She will be a kamikazi Gay Rights Agenda Pusher. Anyone who opposes the Vile Gay Agendas she will be pushing, will be labeled as a hateful bigot.

Her win was one of the oddest in this election year. There were several factors involving her win that could explain why. The Senator she beat Woody White was an appointed Senator, following the resignation of Patrick Ballanine. Ballanine said he was resinging to concentrate on he Governor's race but there was actually little work to be done in the legislature then. White, who was a law partner of Ballantine was running in the primary. When a legislator resigns in NC the local party executive committee picks there replacement they picked White instead of picking a lame duck. White won his primary but his opponent was unhappy about the way it happened and refused to endorse White. The district covers all of New Hanover County, which was once considered a Republican oasis in the heavily Democratic southeastern North Carolina, but lately it has become an area the the gay community has moved into Wilmington at a fast rate. Finally most people, myself included, thought that White would win because Ballantine would provide some kind of a coattail effect for his home county, but that did not happen as Ballantine actually lost New Hanover county. I am not sure that this may not be a one term deal but who knows. The NC Republican party has been in split for some five years now they have little if any leadership on the state level, Richard Burr was able to win in spite of it, and the GOP took the State Auditor position from Ralph Campbell whose brother former Atlanta mayor Bill Campbell was indicted, and the Republican candidate did a good job of working that. But in the legislature was where the GOP took the biggest hits, although they actually received more total votes than the Democrats, so we will see.
