Despite settlement, Web site cites God
In a six-page letter made public Wednesday, the American Civil Liberties Union says a state program promoting sexual abstinence has violated a 2002 court settlement by invoking the name of God and quoting biblical passages on the program's taxpayer-funded Web site.
If changes aren't made to the site in 30 days, the ACLU said it will have no choice but to take the Governor's Program on Abstinence back into federal court. Meanwhile, the site, AbstinenceEdu.com, remained up and running, telling teens, among other things, that God is standing beside them as they choose abstinence and offering personal testimonials, including one from a girl who said

The ACLU's juggernaut to remove all vestiges of Christianity from the culture, ripping prayer out of schools, tearing creches out of public squares, promoting the killing of the unborn as a constitutional right, is the left's religious-hating politics, cunningly calculated to destroy.
As Cicero wrote: " A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear. "
It's an outrage that US laws, apparently passed during the Watergate era, allows the ACPU (sic) to collect attorney's fees for makework----Christian-hatng cases it itself launches.
That means "values voters" have been footing the bill the ACLU's launching a juggernaut in removing Ten Commandment images, Pledge of Allegiance, Christmas creche and Christmas carol cases, and because they claim they have a civil right not to see the Ten Commandments, a civil right not to hear the word God in the Pledge of Allegiance, not to see a creche of the Baby Jesus, not to hear Christmas carols.
They have a collected a huge amount of our tax dollars, a left-handed fundraiser for the ACLU.
Congress must repeal laws enabling the ACPU. FReepers can silence the ACLU with a bit of activism. We need to insist our Congressmen repeal this abusive law that allows the ACLU to get rich on harassing Christian America.
Cut off the ACPU's funds and watch them disappear.
I *LOVE* that logo. Is it available on a t-shirt??
I don't know of any but I'm sure if you print it out the local Silk screen print shop/sign shop can make you one.
Just thought of something, use your color printer and the Avery or HP iron on transfer sheets and make your own.
