Canadian PM expels anti-Bush MP ['Unacceptable' ....]
BBC ^

Canadian PM expels anti-Bush MP The Canadian prime minister has expelled an MP from the ruling Liberal Party because of her outspoken criticism of US President George Bush. On Wednesday the MP, Carolyn Parrish, appeared on a TV comedy show, in which she stamped on an effigy of Mr Bush.

Paul Martin acknowledged Ms Parrish's right to express her views frankly, but he said he could not tolerate behaviour that demeaned and disrespected others.

Ms Parrish will now sit as an independent in the Canadian parliament.

Correspondents say her dismissal further weakens the position of the Liberal Party, which returned to power in June but with a minority in parliament.

The Liberals and their New Democrat allies have fewer MPs than the combined opposition.

Imagine if these MPs had to run on issues besides "How much do you hate America, eh?"

It's really fun watching the sane Canadians squirm over this fool. The last thing they want to do is defend Bush, but the simpleton forces them to do so.

Actually I believe the expulsion of Parrish was more directly the result of her attacks and insults on Mr Martin. The attacks on our president was just the icing on the cake.

You're probably right. They were probably just waiting for an excuse, and she gave it to them.

True.

Parrish, 58, had said that if Martin "loses the next election and he has to resign, I wouldn't shed a tear over it."

"I have absolutely no loyalty to this team - none," she said.

She said she lost respect for Martin when he refused to intervene to ensure a "clean race" for the Liberal nomination in her riding of Mississauga-Erindale.

Ms. Parrish opened her mouth again with something objectionable -- I forget the details -- at the time of Bush's reelection, in defiance of the PM's order for his party members to restrain their comments. She's an accident waiting to happen.

I think this quote proves your point:

She also told a reporter that she "wouldn't shed a tear " if Mr Martin were to lose the next election, and that his team "can all go to hell".

There's no love lost there, obviously.

Parrish's idea of a "clean race" in her re-nomination battle earlier this year was signing up the several hundred "new Liberals" at her local Mosque who then apparently became her ultra-slim margin of victory.

Interestingly, Parrish's "Official photo" is suddenly unavailable on her government webpage. http://www.parl.gc.ca/common/senmemb/house/members/MemberDetails.asp?Language=E&Parl=38&Ses=1&PersonId=783&OrgCId=16&Sect=hoccur

Is heavy re-touching at taxpayers' expense now underway?
Or perhaps, as is reputedly the case with all truly evil entities, no camera (or mirror) is capable of capturing Ms. Parrish's actual image?
(Although the TV cameras she constantly mugs in front of seemingly aren't effected by this phenomena - doubtless due to the medium's own even greater inherent darkness.)

In the meantime, until it becomes available, al Qaida members will continue having to make do with pictures of goats and camels as pin-ups.

I like this quote I found over there ,

"At the core of modern liberalism is the spoiled child - miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats ." (PJ O'Rourke)

I think it would be great if we could form country to country conservative chat rooms - We could 'spread the power'

Ms Parrish was quoted by the Canadian media as saying that she had no regrets about her statements.

She'll care when her opposition tells her constituants that the reason they got zero from the government is because of her big and nasty mouth.

Tis a fine day in Canada. First we are allowed Fox News, then the firing of Carolyn "Would You Please" Parrish.

I noticed on her web site, she named her dog Texas. I think President Bush would like that!

If you would like to send condolences to her, email
parric@parl.gc.ca.

I'm sure she'd love to hear from you American b-------.
What a total disgrace she is to Canada. As if we don't have enough to deal with.
