"no commercials is worth $10 for me"

Most definitely! My Chrysler 300C has Sirius free for a year. I love it. I will definitely renew when my year is up. I never listen to regular radio in the car anymore.

Yeah well, I sort of feel the same way but I probably would try it. I've always been a radio addict, worked in small-market radio in spot production, and never had a problem with, indeed, enjoy advertising, but I'm curious about what new forms the medium might take under Karmazin/Stern, quite apart from Howard's show.

I'm glad private radio is taking off, but I don't think it will do well. Once the price goes to nearly free instead of $10 or $20 a month, it'll be worth it. Until then, it's just not something I'd see most people paying for--and buying a radio for.

I've had Sirius for 1 year and I think it's well worth the monthly fee. It's great on trips since you never lose the signal and I can take the receiver indoors so I can listen while I'm at home. There are so many choices of music, sports and other entertainment, not to mention the fact that I can listen to Fox News while I'm driving!

Question (maybe stupid): Does satelite radio allow you to pick up Internet radio stations?

I got sirius a couple of months ago. I will NEVER switch back. I paid a year up front and got a month free. For the hour each way I commute to work, 13 bucks a month is worth it.

You have to be a subscriber and have a receiver in order to get access to the internet streams. One other thing to note is the internet streams are only for music, nothing else (e.g. Fox News, Bloomberg Radio, CNBC etc...).

You must be a subscriber. I have a Kenwood in dash unit in my truck so it is straight digital. The PNP units convert digital to analog and broadcast to your car radio, but I'm sure it still sounds fine. Outlaw Country is the best Damn radio I have ever heard and so is Underground Garage. 6o plus streams of commercial free is worth every penny of $12.95 per month plus the above mentioned talk streams. I knew something was up this morning. I sold a pig at a $3000.00 loss and bought another 1000 SIRI @ $4.62. It's like this-XM trades @ $34.00 SIRI now in AH 5.65 range. With Stern coming on board (hopefully sooner than '06) this company will far exceed sub numbers of XM. I don't care for Stern but he has 18MM fans that love his schtick. Sat Rad is the future of radio. With Karmazin coming on board Fomoco will probably be doing more factory installs sooner than later. BTW, if you don't have Sat Rad both are great. I am just a biased stockholder. Go SIRI !

It's not a stupid question. You can't pick up Internet stations. There is a list of the programming at Sirium.com. If you get Sirius in your car you can use your account to download the music on your computer. You can't get the other programming like news, however.
