Thanks for that reply. It's interesting. In other words, don't need the serius receiver, can listen w internet equipment?

You have to be a subscriber and have a receiver in order to get access to the internet streams. One other thing to note is the internet streams are only for music, nothing else (e.g. Fox News, Bloomberg Radio, CNBC etc...).

Thank you for your answers.

I assumed the subscription, didn't know about whether that would have allowed in-home access without the receiver, using the internet.

Serius keeps sending me a coupon with the stock report stuff but I haven't found a good enough reason to subscribe yet.

It would be fine on trips but don't do enough road travel.
I live inside the Beltway of DC where all the talk radio is available and shortwave goes a long way.

In a couple of years when we flee to the nether regions I can see that Serius will be necessary to keep me from going postal. I emphatically know that I will need the music even though the internet does a good job of bringing on the varied types of music I enjoy and a wirelss system can transport the signal admirably.
