PAT LaMARCHE, 2004 GREEN V.P. CANDIDATE, TO SPEAK ON THE OHIO RECOUNT AT RALLY NEAR WHITE HOUSE
Rally organized by ReDefeatBush at LaFayette Park in Washington, D.C., Friday, November 19 at noon
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Pat LaMarche, the Green Party's 2004 vice presidential candidate, will speak at a rally in Washington, D.C. on November 19 about the Ohio recount effort launched by the Cobb/LaMarche and Badnarik campaigns.
Ms. LaMarche will join Libertarian presidential candidate, Michael Badnarik, at a rally in front of the White House at LaFayette Park on Friday November 19 at noon. The rally has been organized by ReDefeatBush and other groups to protest the "botched" 2004 election and prepare for the "post-democracy era" under the second Bush Administration. The contact for ReDefeatBush is Joy Howell 202-828-7838, .
Citing widespread reports of voting irregularities, the Cobb/LaMarche and Badnarik campaigns recently launched a joint effort to hold a recount of presidential votes cast in Ohio during the November 2 election.
Ms. LaMarche will arrive in Washington, D.C. at 9 a.m. Friday morning and return to Maine at 6 p.m. the same evening. She can be reached by her cell phone at 646-202-0846 today or during the trip.
The Green-Libertarian recount effort has raised the necessary money to file for a recount, and is now raising money for monitoring the recount and related expenses.

I wanted to make a snide remark here about the number of votes cast for these folks versus the paper that will be put to use on the recount, but the thought is just to miniscule to consider. Get these folks some tea, or vodka, and tell them to go have a sit in someplace where they think they'll be needed.
Care to post any observations?
Fact is that, no matter who they claim is behind it, I would put money on the Kerry campaign helping to finance this farce. Kerry is as self-absorbed as they get and, even if he can't have the presidency, he would love to spread the idea that he was the actual winner and that the Bush presidency is "invalid."
I wish the Libertarian Party leaned more towards Libertarianism. I used to be a dues-paying member, but I've decided that it's been too much taken over by whack-jobs
The libertarians are doing themselves no good by allying with Greens. Big mistake.
Major case of "Bush Derangement Syndrome"
Subtle slam BUMP.
I can't imagine voting LP on the national level ever until they stop fighting in districts where they merely distract from GOP votes. They should instead focus on districts where they will run as the only opposition to the GOP and from those conservative strongholds work on the party.
Until then, they are dead to me nationally. I'll vote for LP folks in districts where they are the only ones running against the GOP, but only there.
thanks fo your response.
one person's freedom can be viewed as aggression upon another, and therein lies the problem. i may have the right to be free from agression, but will be agressed upon when someone else choses their libertarian freedoms.
i could go on with numerous examples, but i will select but one. sexual deviant behaviour is immoral and breaks apart the american family. sexual deviant behaviour should always have an outlet in society; but it should not be made mainstream. when sexual deviant behaviour is mainstream, i have been agressed upon, yet the sexual deviant will feel it his libertarian right to flaunt his deviant sexuality in my face and to be accepted by society. (i may chose to accept this person, but certainly reject his/her behaviour).
without moral principles, you cannot determine where one's libertarian freedom aggresses upon that of another human being. without such system of moral values, there is no "absolute" that can be applied to society.
Drugs!
go to the site and vote to move to Canada. LOL
