Failed presidential candidate John Kerry is considering filing a libel suit against the leader of the group Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, John O'Neill, whose book "Unfit for Command" is credited with capsizing Kerry's Vietnam-based campaign.

"I don't know if they will actually go forward," a member of Kerry's inner circle told New York Post's PAGE SIX, edited by Richard Johnson. "But consideration is serious. If Kerry plans on running again in 2008 — and I'm hearing he will — it would make sense that he'd file the suit."

THis is great! O'Neill can demand Kerry's military records as part of discovery. Please, please go through with it J- F'n Kerry!

actually I don't know why the Swiftees don't sue the Traitor

They certainly have cause to. But I'd rather see O'Neill sue the pants off MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell.

I concur...no reason why you can't sue them both. LOL

Go for it!

A lawsuit will entail discovery, documentation, people under oath, and corroboration. Exactly what Kerry needs! :-)

Do you think someone should encourage Kerry to sue?

What on earth is Kerry smoking for him to think that the Democratic party would nominate him again in 2008? What was obvious to all of us during the election is now obvious to the democrats after the election: John Kerry is a LAME, UNELECTABLE DORK.

Yeah right, Robert Redford said he would move to Ireland if Bush was elected too. Both are sissy-boys that won't do what they say.

No chance. He would be forced to sign during discovery the Form 180. He will never do that.

Sen. Kerry's lawyers are trying to explain this to the Annointed One as we speak. Hillary's campaign advisers are screaming "Do It!"

For your entertainment, Tonk, if you haven't seen this already.

The nice thing is, the SBVT already have a WEB site with a donation mechanism built in. Best $200 I have ever spent and certainly the most fun I have had with that much money.

Ready to donate to the legal defense, guys???

As pompous and out-of-touch as Kerry is, I cannot believe that he would file such a lawsuit. Even if there is nothing potentially embarrassing in his undisclosed military and medical records, the idea of a presidential candidate suing his political opposition would be dynamite. However, if, as we all suspect, there is material in his military and medical records that supports the Swifties' claims and undermines his own claims to "heroism," he'd be an even bigger fool.

form 180

It would be great to put that traitor behind bars...
and to expose him for what he is

Run John F Kerry out of the US Senate and out of America

once and for all

That's right John, go get 'em. Just sign that pesky little DD180 and let the Pentagon show us how wrong the vast majority of people in your unit were.

If you would normalize your schema you wouldn't have a liberals.clue column.

I think we should take up a collection to buy fuel for Kerry's back hoe. He must be running low by now, and we wouldn't want him to have to stop digging.

Oh would I love to draft the discovery requests and take that deposition!!

It will never in a gazillion years happen folks, no way. Kerry is a loser but not an idiot. He would get slaughtered in such a lawsuit.
