KERRY FIT TO SUE 'UNFIT' AUTHOR
November 18, 2004 -- LIBERAL loser John Kerry might be planning to strike back at John O'Neill, the "Unfit for Command" author who claims some of the credit for Kerry's defeat, sources say.
In the book, published by Regnery not long before the election, O'Neill who, like Kerry, commanded swift boats in Vietnam attacked Kerry's war record and branded him a traitor.
O'Neill sold over 800,000 copies and his group, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, raised $25 million to battle the Kerry campaign and ran TV ads trashing the candidate. Former Sen. Bob Dole endorsed the group.
O'Neill says he wrote the book because Kerry called his fellow Vietnam vets monsters, terrorists and war criminals, for which he has never apologized.

In order to sue, he has to be able to prove the allegations untrue. I don't think Kerry wants this in court. They could suphoena his service records, which he has so closely guarded and then they'd end up under public scrutiny.
Oh, the joy of watching this happen!!! Go, John, go!!!
Go for it, you jerk. You'll be crushed.
BTW, woouldn't he have to go through discovery? Wouldn't he have to sign the 180 then?
Heeheeheeheehee.

Hope he does. Democrats need the exposure.

He`s going to sue O`Neill for giving him a bad image? That`s like Jane Fonda suing Viet vets for losing a movie role. Yeah, that`s real smart. Bring it on, just when I thought this guy couldn`t sink himself any further, now he wants to go alllll the way to the absolute bottom.
Say what?
It's never going to happen.
In the wonderful world of Liberal Land, you're not really required to do anything, like sue somebody; the mere expression of intent to do so is enough to show how you "feel" about something and that's enough to validate your liberal credentials.
It's not" "I think, therefore I am", its' more like: "I feel, therefore I am right ".
Finally in the discovery we might get some answers to questions about Kerry.
Let us know when you need our help Mr. O'Neil.
Maybe this is what he was saving that 15 million dollars for from his campaign fund? Kerry isn't fit to wipe O'Neill's shoes.
Well, I disagree here. It all depends on your definition of the word "fake". To the extent that they were represented as wounds received as a result of contact with the enemy, yes, the qualifications for those medals were faked.
I never thought being Clintonian would ever be useful!
What I think, also. But if Kerry makes enough noise he just might find himself the defendant instead of the plaintiff.
If Kerry sues John O'Neill, the "Unfit for Command" author, he is a bigger idiot than we think he is.
That would open up all of the records that he and his Carter/Clintoon buddies in the department of Navy played games with.
When the really dark side of Kerry in Nam and post Nam gets exposed, the MSM will ignore it. However, we and others will not ignore it.
Besides finishing Kerry in politics, it could be the beginning of the end of the current rat party based on hatred of America and the trashing of our Nam Vets.
You've got that right - if Kerry wants to sue, BRING IT ON!! I'm sure that O'Neill still has all the Requests for Discovery and for production of documents on his computer, just ready to be printed out and served on Kerry. Kerry may be stupid - but, he's not stupid enough to open up that can of worms?
I think he's just making a big noise to try to cast doubt on the SwiftVets after the fact. But, he will NEVER follow through with it because it would then be "put up or shut up" time and there are SO many interesting questions about his questionable medals, inflated reports, his discharge, what he did in Paris, his VVAW friends and activities, and so forth .......... ad infinitum.
Since treason is a capital crime, I don't think there is a Statute of Limitations that applies? And, all the stuff that would come out in a civil action would be a prosecutor's dream come true?
Big words.
But somehow I doubt that Senator Kerry, a lawyer, really wants to open up his entire political career to discovery, much less a courtroom.
He is a legend in his own mind.
