The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

"We should have secured the Mexican border."

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

Stolen Laptop Reportedly Contained Bio-Defense Secrets

Any update on this story yet? Why do we even bother to classify information as secret when this kind of incident seems to be the norm rather than the exception as of late? Any wagers whether the Chinese have it by now?

"...noticed it was crawling with middle eastern men. What is going on? Usually its all mexicans."

Naw, reporting them would require profiling and if you recall, the alphabets are supposed to be kinder and gentler to the ME types. (enabling a dozen or more to board a plane and face literally no scrutiny). The only alpabets with power these days are ACLU members.

This is the main reason I characterized his (her) posts as smacking of Lyndon LaRouche. However, he manages to weave many seemingly disconnected facts and pieces of information into a very plausible story.

To validate the plausibility of a story, one must look at points that can be confirmed or denied. These act as a linchpin, if the story cannot hold up under these known circumstances, the rest is likely to be shaky as well. As I mentioned in my first post, his story brutally fails the fact test regarding who devised and conducted the 911 and Madrid Spain attacks. Upon this foundation his story crumbles.

His rumblings about 'hidden hand' etc almost make we want to purchase tinfoil stock with reynolds. He lays it on thick and heavy like it is taken out of a fiction novel. However, I know that our secure communications when I was in Germany were SECURE. He talks big, but put the hip boots on because it is mostly cow manure.

Nice to see you around milkncookies.

I think this "German guy" is completely bogus and, as Godzilla said earlier, he really reminds me of Aussie Bloke.

Up until recently, US military bases in Germany all used Compaq A900 printer/fax combos (yes, in the age of the internet!).

I know of at least one office, on one American military base in Germany, that has never used a Compaq A900 printer/fax combo. I called the person who has used this office for the past 20+ years earlier today to ask this specific question (in light of your post). That seems to be about one of the few "specifics" that can be verified by us mere mortals that this "German guy" has claimed. The rest of what he is claiming just seems too vague to be able too verify, IMO.

Thanks for the fact-finding, Oo.

MNC, it is a fascinating read, but my gut instinct tells me this will appear on the best-seller list soon. For fiction. (Sorry it's just an opinion as of now -- I haven't had time to dig around and do any research yet, but a few here have already chimed in with some facts that debunk some of his assertions.)

Terrorist crisis - first suspect set to win freedom
KATE FOSTER AND BRIAN BRADY

A SUSPECTED terrorist whose imprisonment without trial was judged illegal by Law Lords is set to walk free within days after his lawyers made a court application for bail.

Scotland on Sunday can reveal that a High Court judge is currently considering whether to grant bail to Abu Rideh, one of 12 men held on suspicion of terrorism following the September 11 attacks.

The Palestinian is suspected of having links to associates of Osama bin Laden both in the UK and overseas and has been detained without trial for the past three years.

Rideh, 33, from Surrey, is currently being held at Broadmoor because of his severe psychiatric problems. While there, he is alleged to have taken a female member of staff hostage and to have tried to cause an explosion.

Last week, the case of Rideh and eight other suspected terrorists plunged the government into a constitutional crisis.

However, what I'm really looking for are responses with factual information to dispel this person's claims.

If you're trying to contradict names, organizations, names of places and localities, past events, even the name of the German drinks, or the type of technology he refers to, you cant because this guy weaves his (I'm assuming it's a he) story based on factual information. Where you try to unmask him/her is by his contradiction and inconsistencies. As an example, in the beginning he says he's not fluent with English and that he learned English while working in London. Later on (I believe in the 2nd of your posts) he mentions a Chinese/Asian friend who has been correcting his posts. Why would he say that? Most likely because his use of the English language has contradicted his prior statement that he's not fluent with English. Hence, he has to reassure the reader that his English is much better than what he asserted at the beginning, but only because someone is correcting his syntax, spelling and expressions.

This guy reminds me of that Daleel guy late last year. I believe that is his name.

I will read these posts more carefully and see what inconsistencies I can find.

Merry Christmas.
