The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

What's up with the 'mall explosion' at your same illegal flu shot link?

I didn't even notice that when I found the flu story. I have run across about 3 of these type mall/store stories in the last 3 weeks. I haven't posted them, because they seem so incidental. They were in the NY/NJ area. In one they said that the explosion was caused by cleaning liquids, after hours. In this story, this incident also happened "after hours". There were also recent stories about malls getting beefed-up security for the Christmas season.

DC...when I saw the Spain story this morning...I was thinking the same thing. They caved to the terrorists, and look how well the terrorists are treating them now.

There were at least 3-4 incidents in Russia regarding crashed planes, or attempts. Of course the slaughter of innocent children in Breslan can be attributed to the "Religion of Peace". The Phillipines are always fighting the Isalmics. Austrialia has it's share of radical Imans. Bosnia, Africa...well just about anywhere in the world where Muslims want to impose their religion on and existing people and culture you will find terrorism, murder, mayhem and violence.

I am still so mad about Breslan I could scream. I spent my career as Reg. Manager of day care centers. Little people are an attack on my heart.

I am at terror overload and none of it makes sense. It is unbelievable that the muslims can have such an effect on the world. As they do there terrorist thingy we lose freedom there is no way around it.

I thought no problem binny and crew will be taken out and all is well. But there are too many and intertwined with each other I don't see the problem solved ever unless all muslims are dead. That's not going to happen.

Then I think ok maybe a New World Order so to speak, there is no advantage of this to anyone. Maybe a battle to be a super power. Why? No government is going to change human nature or have super power control. Every advancement of prosperity is American and we gave them what they have. Destroy us they destroy the world.

I give up...step away from the computer and breath very deep.

My best buddy vows he's already in the process of blowing them up and fastening to an eight by eleven FOOT sheet of plywood and bolting them to the inside of his foyer so that boys will see it as they walk inside the door!
