The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Threat Matrix - Daily Terrorism Threat

Connect these dots, now
Full Story
"We should have secured the Mexican border."

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

Once I saw that photo, I had to post it....the father actually smiling as he readies his own flesh to kill and maim innocent people. Well, once again, the evil "religion of peace"....this picture is certainly worth a thousand words in expressing the evil that we are currently fighting.

I was a couple of blocks west of the el, renting a basement room while I was a grad student at NU.

I wish I could remember the address or the nearest cross street, but for some reason it's a bit of a blank.

No I'm not old enough to have a teenage daughter....well not unless I really had a wild mis-spent youth. Just two sons age 6 and 8. Let's just say I'm 30 something. But I'm sure I could let you know about my fun single girlfriends...

Ummmmmmmmm, actually I meant that the father of a teen-aged daughter *might* smile at the prospect of getting her out of the house...

But while we're on the subject, do tell, especially about the older ones...

Iran arrests 'spy' faking nuclear company
Iran's Intelligence Ministry has announced the arrest of a "spy" accused of setting up a fake nuclear company as part of a bizarre international plot to damage the Islamic republic's reputation.

"Asghar C, who has a past of spying for foreigners, was seeking to make centrifuges with a fictitious contract and under the name of a false company," the Intelligence Ministry said.

The ministry says that by pretending to manufacture centrifuges - the machines that can enrich uranium to make both fuel for a civilian reactor or the explosive core of a nuclear device - "this individual was trying to damage Iran's international commitments."

snip LOL

Iran accuses the United States of putting into action a bizarre plan so it can "accuse Iran of not respecting international conventions and past accords and in this regard certain individuals are taking actions to facilitate these accusations."
