The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- FBI agents searched the offices of a pro-Israel lobbying group Wednesday as part of an espionage probe, two government sources told CNN.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, said the government also subpoenaed four senior staff members to appear before a federal grand jury.

The probe involves allegations that a Pentagon analyst passed classified information to Israel through two employees of the organization, the sources said.

Government officials previously told CNN the information that allegedly was passed included a draft presidential directive on U.S. policy toward Iran.

I would imagine there could be a diver or two on a ship coming in from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus.

Also, from their site:

Here's what is bothering me since I learned that the amount of the spill was over 400,000 gallons instead of 30,000.

In the past year we have discussed so many situations such as the ship accident around Staten Island (did that one involve a diver?), the ports near Newark airport that are across the Hudson from New York City, the proximity of the new Eagles' stadium in South philly near the airport, oil refineries, the old naval station and the Deleware River, the captain of a foreign ship about to dock at the port of Philly that declared some reason (a bomb on board? I can't remember what it was) that kept the authorities from permitting the ship to dock.

Were all these rehersals prior to this spill? Can something ignite the spill to burn or something worse? Maybe I am paranoid but think of the 5 or so bridges between NJ and Philly that would be compromised. Each day this bothers me more.

Except for the 2001 terrorist attacks, it was the first known time any U.S. carrier had lost two planes on the same day. The crashes became Grand Aire’s ninth and 10th in the last 10 years. A Blade story in April identified nine of the crashes, but omitted one because of incomplete federal record-keeping.

The firm’s owner, Tahir Cheema, voluntarily grounded the fleet for a week, saying he wanted to figure out what had gone wrong. But he was adamant that his company was just as safe as its competitors.

There's definitely reason to worry. This turned out to be a huge oil spill. Now the Greek company that owns the tanker is claiming that this was their oldest and smallest ship, apparently ready for the scrap heap.

Who knows what's really going on here? Accident, subterfuge, part of a master plan? And there was that earlier story about Al Queda threatening to turn a tanker into a floating bomb. They definitely have designs on this type of scenario.

On November 12, 2004 at 1448 hours, the owner of a stolen
2004 black Ford Expedition, William Hensz, located his vehicle
in the parking lot of the 1685 Jetwing Drive, the 7-11. Hensz
confronted the two (2) occupants of the vehicle who
subsequently left the parking lot abruptly after striking another
vehicle (A04-11783). Hensz followed the stolen vehicle towards
the Pikes Peak Park area where off-duty Woodland Park Police
Officer Anthony Cantu observed the stolen vehicle driving
erratically. Officer Cantou also followed the stolen vehicle until it
crashed into a city fire hydrant in the 1700 block of Shenandoah
Drive (A04-11785). An unknown male occupant fled the scene
on foot before the arrival of city officers. A juvenile female
driver was located in the vehicle and taken into custody for
theft by receiving. Investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen
earlier on November 12, 2004 and sold to the juvenile for
$300.00. No further suspect information was obtained.

On 11-12-04 at approximately 10:38am two males wearing ski
masks entered the First Bank at 2790 Briargate Bl. The
suspects were carrying assault type rifles. The suspect ordered
the occupants of the bank to the ground. The suspects
demanded and obtained an undisclosed amount of money and
the left the bank. No one was injured in the bank. Two
witnesses saw the suspects leave the bank. The suspects left in
a green Grand Am type vehicle with CA plates 4WWY663. At the
intersection of Rickshaw and Mirage the suspects fired several
gun shots at the witness vehicle. The witness vehicle, a green
SUV, was hit several times. The occupants of the vehicle were
not injured. The suspects then left the area. At this time the
suspects or their vehicle have not been found.

The Police Department received a call indicating a pit bull dog
had just killed another dog and was attacking a second dog.
Officer Gilliana used a taser on the dog which momentarily
disabled the dog. The dog then attacked the officer, biting the
officer's hands. The dog then ran from the area. Other officers
arrived and located the dog in a back yard near the scene. The
dog was shot twice and killed. The officer was transported to
Memorial Hospital. The Colorado Humane Society and CSPD will
investigate.

Colorado Springs Utilities that water main repairs would

Academy Blvd will remain open and only one southbound lane
will be open. The turn lanes for both directions of Academy Blvd

On 11/11/04 at approximately 3:59PM Colorado Springs Police
Department was notified of a serious injury truck versus
pedestrian accident on Chestnut Street in front of the Loaf and
Jug Store. A full size dodge truck was leaving the parking lot
turning southbound onto Chestnut Street. A pedestrian was
crossing the street mid block. The truck struck the pedestrian at
low speed. The pedestrian, a 60 year old homeless female was
transported to Penrose Main Hospital where she was later
pronounced dead. Detectives from the Major Accident Unit
responded to assist in the investigation. At this time there are
no charges pending further investigation. The name of the
deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of
kin.

Summary
On the above date and time and unknown male called to the
WalMart at 707 S. 8th St. and stated that there was a bomb
inside the business. The employees at the WalMart evacuated
the store before police arrived. Due to the evacuation prior to
police arrival and that some employees had left the scene, the
scene was secured. Military Police from Ft. Carson were
contacted to ask for their assistance with their K-9 bomb
sniffing dogs. Members of the Ft. Carson K-9 unit responded
immediately and assisted in clearing the business. Ft. Carson
sent two bomb certified K-9's to assist. The building was
cleared and the dogs did not detect any explosives.
With out the assistance of the Ft. Carson K-9's the search of the
business would have taken numerous man hours.
No suspects have been identified, investigation continues.

CSPD was notified at 8:30am that Rafael Sanchez had
succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at
00:54am 11/10/04.

Autopsy was preformed and the cause of death was multiple
trauma from the accident.

CSPD is still looking for a small white vehicle, possibly Toyota
Corolla with passenger side mirror damage and a broken
windshield.

Sanchez is the 24th fatality of 2004.

year old child while she was retrieving a teddy bear from

puppy and asked her if she would help him find the puppy.
Since the man was unknown to the child she ran back inside

CSPD was notified of a Hit and Run TA involving a pedestrian.
Officers arrived on scene and found a HM in the street
unconscious with what appeared to be a head injury. Subject
was transported to Memorial Hospital and treated for his
injuries. He sustained a broken right arm and leg along with a
fractured vertebra. Injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

A witness to the accident said the H&R vehicle was a small
white vehicle, possibly a Toyota Corolla. The car should have
damage to the passenger side mirror and a broken windshield.

It appears that the pedestrian was walking SW across Circle in
the 500 block. The H&R vehicle was southbound in the left
(east) lane. Subj was hit on Circle near the intersection of
Tahoe Bl.

Alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

Pedestrian is a Rafael Sanchez, 68 year old HM.

It would make more sense to chip away at a nation's resources little
by little - a fire here, a spill there - than to plan a huge attack that
would rally people and get them working together.

but it may be the same man, the above man got away, and this report is Palm Springs airport, same scene, he was selected for the wand and ran.

Tonight it was LAX and the same scene.
