"Authorities: pilot in crash near Smyrna ran out of gas"
November 29, 2004
SMYRNA (AP)
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Authorities say the man is Jerry Darnell of Carlinville, Illinois. He's been charged with failing to have proper flying credentials.
The Cessna C-172 was flying from Maury County when it lost power and took a nose dive into a fence near a road intersection.
Ken Hampton of the Smyrna Police Department said the man was acting "a little different" and claimed his identification had been stolen.
The plane was registered in Illinois."
Once it has been more widly viewed, then they'll talk about it. How they talk about it concerns me.
Thanks for checking!
I still have a strange gut on this one.
Good point!
Following up a hunch, I checked on other possible meanings for the word "Septar". In astrology, it refers to a seven-year solar cycle.
This time seven years ago, Terrorist activity was reported at an ATAS fuel plant in Turkey (12/10/97) and against Western Geophysical in Nigeria (12/13/97).
FWIW
WRT TRU
OPINION-SPECULATION: He does seem to be a short-timer.

Curios. Thanks for finding that.
Still hunting here.
Smyrna was also recently in the news because of this October plane crash:

I did read that, when I was googling about arsenic. If tests (blood tests?) are not done in a day or 2 after exposure, it's gone from the body.
The only way to test for it after that timeframe is by checking the hair and fingernails, where arsenic will remain for quite some time. I wondered if they had done those tests on Yushchenko though.
Someone posted somewhere that the results of tests done on him in Austria have been sealed.
Thanks.
Does the word "Smyrna" itself ring any bells?
I live only about 30 minutes from there, and we're not hearing much of anything about this on our local news. The midday report had a tiny blurb about the crash being investigated and that was it. They segued into the Ebersol crash in CO.
That's what I was trying to remember, jg, and couldn't even find it by googling. I wonder what they were carrying in cargo.

Also happens to be the name of a biblical ancient city

(One of my other tin-foil theories ~grin~)
I'm pretty sure from the googling info, if given a large enough dose, it can be a very sudden result. He was probably meant to die quickly, but was not given enough (if this was arsenic). Whoever did it didn't care whether it looked like a subtle way to go, over time, with small doses.
One of the cities conquered by TROP.
Any significant landmarks near the town?
Would you please ping me if you hear anything else?
How close is Murfsboro (sp?) to Smyrna?
Just curious.
Anyway, that's probably what I may have been thinking of -- that general area.
Tinfoil off -- it was most likely an old news report I was thinking of.
