In the thick of the struggle. Yes, the UMC is rife with absurdity at the top, but I am watching miracles unfold in my local congregation. And overall, the trend of the entire denomination has been strongly conservative at the last 2 General Conferences (2000 and 2004), soundly rejecting the gay agenda. And the geographic areas with radical leftist leadership are also the ones suffering severe membership decline, while the conservative Bible-believing conferences are growing in numbers and influence.

My congregation sounds so much like yours. We have that Bible out every Sunday reading and receiving from it. You can designate your offering so that it does not support anything you do not approve. Denco
