Thanks, I hope I get to visit both of those sometime.
Slick Willie's legacy -- a monument to depravity -- complete with hucksters selling tasteless junk to the masses! Does anyone here know if the other Presidential libraries sell "souvenirs"? Also, is there a admission charge to enter this palace of perversion?
And yes, there is an admission charge. $3 for children and $5 to $7 for adults.
Most of the locals here are just ignoring the whole mess. Security levels around Little Rock are at an all time high, although it's silly to imagine the bad guys would want to hurt Clinton's monument to himself. They love him.
We live for Friday when it's all over.
Willie Clinton "glorified trailor" Library 2004
"We'd be hunters and gatherers. We'd be fighting over roots."
Nope. The Red Staters would still be feeding the Blue Staters. And, um, hunters usually had weapons of some sort...isn't that a no-no?
I LOVED the comment I read here a few weeks back that the red states are the "producers," the blue states the "consumers."
Thanks for the info! I thought it would be rather unseemly to sell souvenirs in the library, but since it involves the Clintons, you never know! You poor people. Being stuck with that mess!
I was supposed to go to a luncheon tomorrow at the Airport Holiday Inn. I think I will not go.
I wouldn't want to be in Ted Kennedy's car as he was driving up to that building.
You must be in LR. You have my sympathy.
haha...
You mean it's a portrait of Bill?
THIS was the architectural inspiration for the Clinton Library.
The only difference is Billy had a blueprint and better materials!!
ROTFL!! I thought they were joking about the "double wide on stilts", but that's EXACTLY what it looks like!
I'm sure all the Presidential libraries have gift shops, as do Museums.
I thought it was a joke when I saw the library and it looked like a trailer!! So fitting for Clinton!
I've been to three libraries (Nixon, Reagan, and Bush), and they all charged admission and had gift shops. Coolest gift shop item (in my opinion) is a t-shirt from Nixon's gift shop that has a pic of the time when he met with Elvis, captioned: "The President meets the King." The pic itself is the most requested from the archives of ANY president.
You can't hide money!!
The resemblence IS striking Wonder what happens if a tornado passes over it.
It will get a bigger blow than Monica gave slick.
I had not seen Clinton's "library" until you posted the picture! Is THAT monstrosity actually a presidential library?!? Holy smokes!!
